From Justin Bourne in ‘The Athletic’.

Todd McLellan is doing his job in LA (much like D.J. Smith in Ottawa). Both are doing pretty admirable jobs in brutal situations, with their respective seasons having been over for a long time now in terms of playoff hopes. The Kings can’t score or get saves, but by underlying analytics, they’ve actually been a competitive team. They’re regularly on the right side of shot attempt and quality data at 5-on-5. But when you can’t finish or get saves (which also kills your special teams numbers), you’re gonna lose. A lot. All the coach can do, though, is get the team playing well and put them in positions to have success. He’s done that.

Can we say the same about JC?

My life doesn’t change if somebody here points left or right either, frankly not really interested in anything here except hockey, and maybe music or movie talk when it gets boring. Everybody has a political view, not really interested in Elbows or say Doh’s political view, I want to know what they think about the Hawks, and sometimes I agree and sometimes I don’t, and sometimes I crack up...

Are you with me in thinking Elbows wrong for preferring the Beatles over the DC5 in years 64-65-66?

Pretty sure any one of us could have designed better unis then these clown suits. Nice of Captain American to let the Avs borrow his A for their helmets.

Well here we go. Looks like Lehner is between the pipes. Have Hawks COMPLETELY thrown in the towel. Seems like they have to win one just to break the monotony. But where is the goals gonna come from. And the crazy thing is, only 6 points from a playoff spot, sorta. Hawks 3, Calgary 2

Not one of those songs even approaches “She Loves You” or any of the other classic early Beatle efforts.

Dave Clark Five Versus The Beatles doesn’t come close to a legitimate or rational argument. Nothing against the DC5, but they were not in the Beatles class, ever.

Sorry EB, not this time. Yesterday I mentioned that the Hawks new marketing campaign was going to be “catch me if you can” vs. one goal.

Borrowing the motion about just not good enough....
Next season there is interesting decisions exactly whom compriises the starting six on defense. When Seabrook and deHahn are healthy is the monkeys wrench. Hashtag those two injured player names. We should not expect either to play a full season since they are either injury prone or needing maintenance time off. I don't know DeHahn's timeline is opening night - maybe it is - but I feel that Seabrook had to recover from surgeries then get in shape after basicly a year off. His body and mind recalculated to being able to perform at a quicker pace, albeit not much more than when he last played.....it takes game conditioning.... ROCKFORD ASSIGNMENT?

Boqvist and Koekkoek have played well enough to remain in the line up..The team needs depth and both Gilbert and Carlsson should be pushing at least a bit harder.....we'll probably Carlsson but Gilbert was lacking and maybe he needs to be strong for the better part of an AHL season if you want an improved version of him to resurface

Who knows what will happen. Maybe Matte here just one season.. Foregone conclusion Gus will be gone.

For the love if god, why is Carpenter centering Kane & Saad, instead of Dach?

77, 88 & 20 were extremely dynamic in the game they were together. Dominant numbers.

Seabrook has a NMC so they can't send him to Rockford and wouldn't anyway. He will just be on LTIR until he is ready.

Special K can go. We have different definitions of playing well. He has a spurt of decent games but he is regressing to what he is at this point. A marginal NHL player.

Kane needs someone more experienced than Dach centering for him. Only Saad had any goals when those three were a line.

Hmm.

5 letters ending in F and a curse word. Possessive. (frank) me. I am stumped.

Is it in English?
