I hope the Leafs do have serious interest in Josh Anderson. I have been saying the Leafs could use a guy like him. Clifford lessens the need somewhat but Anderson is more offensive when playing with the right guys

All the rumored asks from the Sens regarding Pageau have been insane. It's great he's having a good year, but he's worth a 2nd rounder at best, straight up, not with any prospects. 3rd rounder + a good prospect would fair IMO.

And hes a guy who comes with multiple years of team control and a better track record offensively versus a guys who is an impending FA. Unlike you Ill spare you the condescending LOL and laughy face for your dumb comment.

I think a conditional 1st or a 2nd and a prospect is reasonable.......not sure if that's what they're expecting, but it's what's fair.

had they traded him earlier, it would have likely been more, but agreed that he's cooled off a bit.

still, he's a 20+ goal center, who can play in all situations, against other teams top lines..........and he's by far the best center available.......supply and demand, and the fact that a ton of centers on playoffs teams are out medium to long term, could mean that there ends up being a bit of a bidding war, and someone overpays

I agree that term means he's worth more........but you can't argue that zucker is worth a 1st and a top prospect, while at the same time saying pageau is worth a 3rd and a medium level prospect.

being a UFA won't impact his value, it would just mean that some of the assets would be conditional.

if, as he claims, pageau is worth a 3rd and a medium prospect, then his team HILARIOUSLY overpaid for Zucker.

Samuel Poulin is the Pens top prospect.

Why would Tampa want Pageau? Nice player but where is the need? Loaded up front. If anything needs to be addressed it may be depth on defense.

says you.......I googled it, and about half of the "reputable publications/sites" had Addison ranked 1 and Poulin ranked 2.....but the ones that had poulin ranked 1 all had Addison ranked 2.

either way, it's splitting hairs......you gave up a 1st and one of your 2 top prospects for a 2nd or 3rd line winger

You have to give to get. Rutherford understands this. No one is going to do the Pens any favours. The Pens are a win now team and luckily for them, Crosby and Malkin have shown no signs of regressing. Addison may become a very good top 4 defenseman. Or he could be Olli Maata.

Rutherford knows what he's getting with Zucker. He's not a rental. They have him for 3 years. He's not too old. He'll step right into that lineup and produce. It was a good trade for both teams.

Lots of potential for some major regret with that one.

But GM's, for the most part, seem to have gotten smarter about not overpaying for rentals anymore since the playoffs are a crapshoot no matter what. A lot of the package will obviously depend on the level of prospect, but I don't think he's a "guaranteed 1st" kind of player.

Bogosian will be mysteriously absent from the morning skate tomorrow (e4).
