I dunno man. I’d be worried about overworking Georgie. But you are right, we kind of forced to at this point.

if they play Lundqvist, I envision a couple of really good saves early but then him being pulled by 3rd period

It would be nice if we could just play a sound defensive game and then none of it would matter.

The good thing about Shesterkin is, they can afford to play a little looser defensively when he’s back there. Take more chances because Igor is so good. I imagine it’s very hard to to change the way you play with a goalie not as good in there.

Honestly, Hanks role should be back up every game (presence in the locker room) and only play in relief. Basically an 8 million dollar relief pitcher. Sad and it sucks for him, but it is what it is because the Rangers need to win games 🤷🏻‍♂️ it’s also a sign that he didn’t play last night. I couldn’t believe it since Shesty is banged up and Georgy had just played Thursday. I thought that spoke volumes about what think of Hank on the ice right now

Enormous. I’m telling ya, if they do make the playoffs they will be a tough out. They could even make a legit run. They can beat anyone i believe. Gotta keep Kreider tho now, he is driving this locomotive right into the playoffs😈

One thing fo sure IF we somehow made the playoffs is the team would be mega loose, playing with house $$$ and that can always spell big trouble for the top seeded opponent who would have all the pressure. It's been 3 seasons now, I do miss playoff hockey.

I'm not sure about that.

They still have a bunch of deficiencies and a very young team so they are bound to make mistakes.

Its good to see this winning streak though, other than the crap Buffalo game. It shows the team can be really good, and what they could be, with a bit more consistently in the future.

The funny thing, and yes he did score the goal, but kreids but has been pretty quiet the last 2 games, Buch has actually been the driver of that line the last 2 games. Surprised more people aren't giving him credit

It’s the whole line tho really. All 3 play off each other so well. They really should try Panarin Chytil and Kakko together, asap. 2 dynamic lines would be the tits. Have Strome play with Fast as the shutdown line, with Howden maybe.

As far as making the playoffs, since Shesterkin arrived the confidence level of the team is through the roof. So I think they believe which is the first thing you need. Hopefully they have enough race track left in the season, that’s the only thing that will prevent them....running out of games.

You’ll be welcomed with open arms to get on board the playoff train when you’re ready

If we make the playoffs, we will have to be one of the hottest teams going in considering how far out we are. The playoffs have shown it’s not necessarily the best team but the hottest team that makes runs

Hey you know me, i'm almost always positive. I just think it would be really tough for them to do much in the playoffs. I think it would be awesome if they made it though and a hell of an experience for the youngsters. Make them hungry for it next year.

Completely agree with you about Chytil and Panarin, been beating that drum for a little while now

Thats true, and like Brian said, they will be loose. I just think it would be a huge undertaking. But I think it would be great for the team no matter how far they made it.

My prediction at the beginning of the year was we’d be a buzz saw at the end of the year and if we made the playoffs, we’d give whoever fits. I’d still stick with that, but I’d still expect to lose a hotly contested series with Boston/Tampa. It would not be easy for them. I think though the experience for our kids of a series like that would be invaluable for our future though

Shesty is a game changer man. He’s the epitome of a hot goalie. Just hope they have enough games left to pull it off

That’s it in a nutshell. Hot at the right time. LA did it as an 8 seed.

They remind me of Toronto the first year their group made it, young up n coming with oodles of talent. I think they took the caps to 7 games if I recall

Way too many teams to jump over. Crazy thing is that we'd be knocking on playoff door in the West

I don’t think it’s a given, but Florida is fading fast and Carolina has some key injuries with a sieve goaltender. If the flyers lose today, we are 7 points behind them with 2 games in hand and 3 games vs them. I think we do control our destiny somewhat

If the Rangers do find a way to sneak in it will be weird not seeing Hank in goal for that game 1. Question for all of you. Let’s say they get in and they force a game 7. Who you starting in net? You know Hank might be the best game 7 goalie ever to play the game.

Shesty without a doubt. He’s the best current goalie and the future. Even if he wilts in the spotlight, he needs that experience

I think the important thing here is: How bad is Shesty's ankle? We can't get all caught up in this playoff talk if its going to keep him out of action for over a week.
