With Motte, Graovac, MacQ, and Bailey, I dont see a need for Simmonds regardless of cost.

I am going to give an unpopular response. I am going to put my trust in the people that know more than we do.

Every step of the way Benning has had blockades and criticism and he has taken a sh1t AHL team and a laughable NHL team to the the upper standings.

If he thinks a four month rental of a player will help then it is such a minimal risk and not worth worrying about.

I agree they are stepping up lately .

Part of the process and a guy like Simmonds could show them how it is done . Make them tougher . Grind hard in front of the net. Wouldn't it be nice if young Zaxk MacEwen didn't have to be the team tough guy.

MacEwen is a first year player . He can fight but he is not the main fighter on the Comets. He is secondary help when it comes to toughness. Bailey hasn't fought all year. Motte is laughable if you think he is going to be a tough guy. Leivo is not noted for being a tough guy.

Most teams have about 3 or four tough guys. Putting the title on Zack is early and leaving him undermanned .Simmonds has been there and won't be intimidated. Bring in some back up for this young group.

I think it will be somewhat of an upgrade . More importantly so does Benning otherwise there would be no interest .

Give me Simmonds over Schaller, sorry.
