I hope we can do better than that - jdfitz77
If they could have Eichel, Bonino, Copp, and Larsson down the middle next year, it would be light years better than they've had in quite a long time. |

Don't stop at just Bonino. Get another center as well so we stop the over reliance on a young player in an important role they likely are not ready for. - kingcong39

Dadonov is a UFA winger for them as well - jdfitz77
Nobody talks about him, but with the numbers he has put up, how much is he going to cost as a UFA? I'm thinking a good chunk (i.e. a LOT). |

I still think the defensive zone play and average speed is enough to warrant Mittelstadt being a winger at the NHL level. He has the raw natural skill to be a top 6 forward still though. It’s up to him to hit the weights and improve his conditioning at this point. It’s not skill that’s holding him back, it’s definitely the skating and below average strength. |

After this off-season we will know whether or not Mittelstadt has the drive and work ethic to get into the gym and get into great shape. It’s ridiculous that it has been this long and it’s still an issue which makes me think that he just doesn’t have the drive to do it.
My hope is that getting sent down will spark a fire inside him and he’ll put down the PlayStation controller and get to the gym. If he doesn’t he’ll be a bust.
His skating isn’t great but I don’t believe it’s an impediment. There are much worse skating centers in the NHL with skill who succeed. |

These young guys are all highly skilled, some more than others yes. Skating becomes paramount, and is something that can improve given the drive to do so. Strength can be improved tremendously, given the drive to do so.
I'd say the only real issue for Mitts is his drive to excel and become the best version of himself...which translates to compete level on the ice.
I'm not sure he has what is necessary to become a core player. This offseason will tell all that us needed.
We'll see. |

Over the last few weeks I’ve seen a number of assists from him that were skillful plays, all primary at both even strength and PP. The shootout goal last night showed his hands at work. He is showing the skill that made him a top 10 pick. 10 points in his last 11 games. |

Agreed, but if the organization hasn't had very matter-of-fact discussions with him about what style of play will pay the biggest dividend for a 6'6" 215 player, then the Sabres are doing him a very big disservice.

Dadonov & Hoffman have similar numbers to Sam
Dadonov is about to turn 31, Hoffman turns 31 in November
My guess would be they get around 7mil per too,
just not a 7 or 8 year deal
Maybe more like 5yrs? |

Cozens had his 2nd goal in as many nights disallowed last night. He had no shortage of chances and finished with one primary assist in a 5-2 Lethbridge loss.
He is up to 12 goals and 14 assists for 26 points in 12 games since the WJC. What is even more impressive about this is the WHL has the least amount of scoring between the three Canadian leagues. |

According to some(one), the Sabres would need to add.
He's so lazy, Jack would need to pack his stuff and drive him to the airport. |
