I’d like for Larsson to come back and take the 4C spot he’s fantastic defensively. Then we got Asplund, Tage, Ruotsalinen who could easily claim bottom 6 roles. Not too mention cap space and the impending RHD for forward trade we’ve been needing to make since July 1st.

- Pegullaville

Nice pull together. The only one you are missing is Lazar. I really have liked his game. But it’ll probably be a decision of Larry or Lazar, not both. If for nothing more than cost of the 4th line...

Would you go after Granlund to fill that 2C spot

Girgs and Larry have had a good season no doubt, but I think Lazar has made a good case to replace Larry, be a lower Cap hit and add some additional offense.

I still maintain one of the best moves for Botts is convincing Okposo to retire. They can limp along for 1 more season, but it would be great to have the additional cap space the following season.

Agreed.
But I've officially been granted the title of Douche Clown.

Like to see what Cozens could do with Eichel, see if you could get Granlund, be interesting to see what Skinner Granlund Rhino could do as a second line.

His production has suffered in Nash since the trade, getting pushed to wing.
Wonder what he'll want for a contract. At $5.75 now, gotta imagine he'll want a longterm deal with an increase.

Granlund has always played the wing, or at the very least has spent a majority of his time there.

Mittelstadt has 9 points in his last 10 games.

Hopefully this is the beginning of him figuring his poop out.

- Pegullaville

I really hope he gets motivated this summer and works out hard, adds muscle and will be ready for camp next year. He has to realize he's taken a step back this year and if he wants to be a productive NHL forward he'll do what is necessary in the off season and be ready to go.

Took a boatload of face offs his 1st 4 years, then dropped the last 3 -1/2.
So they switched him out at age 24?

Don't really need another LW. Can he be effective switching back to C?

Ruotsalinen is having a nice season in the Liiga this year. He is averaging 1.02 PPG this year. In retrospect Jesse puljujarvi has 0.98 PPG
- Pegullaville

He sure has. I've been pitching this kid for several months and I want to see him as a Sabre next year. He has tons of skill and can skate. He has to have a good camp next year though. He's probably gonna be a winger in the bottom 6. He'll end up breaking his point total from last year for Ilves.

It would be interesting if we go to Europe to look for another free agent forward. Good talent in Liiga and the SHL.

It would be fantastic to have him pan out!
He'll probably need some time in Rochester to adjust to the NA game, right?

Sabres recall Hammond and Gilmour. No pilut. Bogo won’t practice.

Interesting practice in Sabres land today

We have been desperate for centers for more than a decade and we have fans that can’t wait to move our center prospects to wing. No thanks.

He could definitely use Rochester to acclimate himself to NA, similar to what VO did. But I recall something that when he signed his contract he either plays for Buffalo or goes back to Finland. Because of his size he'll be looked as a winger.

Not sure why Gilmour over Pilut. Gilmour has had a rough stretch in Rochester.

Cozens to wing for a rookie year is a smart move. Gives him less responsibility on the ice while he adjusts to nhl speed.

Long term .... 100% cozens is a center. For his rookie year, you can’t throw him in and expect him to be a 2C right away

See mitts development as a hold example of forcing him to play 2C before he was ready

Arttu Ruotsalainen is producing at a slightly better rate (1.03 PPG) than Jesse Puljujärvi (0.98 PPG) in Finland this year

Both players were 1st time draft eligibles in 2016
