8 years 52 million back in july 2007
Not sure how much he has left?
Seems like a solid fiscal move - Boss34
I don't think that's a fair question. Doesn't he have to pay alimony due to a divorce? |

Aj green = james lofton
But, 17 points in 17 games for t.p.
As I predicted early this season (before he injury)
Olofsson would out score the guy with over 300 games if nhl experience. Picked 179 picks earlier- same draft
Olloffson is actually the type of player we need.
Hard working overall achieving sniper - Boss34
Let's keep both? Can never have too many of them top 6 players. |

I know danny had 3 young sons while playing with the Sabres. He lived near my sisters in williamsville.
Nice house from the outisde, looked like a frat house inside. Foreshadowing perhaps? |

BOGO on waivers.... No value what so ever.... - hehateme
I said they should have done that immediately after his trade request. Better late than never |

For the right price, definitely.
My fear is , the whole contract year (effort) or lack of (effort on a contract year) and playoff toughness?
6 × 6.85 max. Keeps him with eichel for the next 6 each.
Last time he sat out, then settled for the bridge deal. If I'm sam, I'm getting paid longterm for big $.
I really hope they take a look at sam without jack.
Get a true value.
I get the sammers view and probably botts view:
9 and 23 = 170 points per season.
That's hard to replace, although 9 is making it happen.

Usually, when these things happen, doesn't the agent get involved and solicit teams who might be interested in him?
He probably got sick of getting hung up on. |

The only thing I would like to know is if anyone would have taken him with half his salary retained. Everything I heard was that Botterill was unwilling to do it. Not that it really matters either way. |

Yeah, if he connects on that lateral, Knox might have a touchdown there. In theory, it's stupid play, but some plays are so crazy, they just might work. This wasn't one of them. - buffalofan19
To add to what you said, if I remember correctly, if he had made the lateral the first time he was going to try, Know may have ran it in for a TD there. |

I can hear the calls now.

Should have done it two months ago

I bet bogo doesn’t report to Rochester ....... I have no sources or anything. Just a hunch. |

Not sure but I think waiving him is the better option for a trade. If he passes through waivers, which he will, then the Sabres trade him he can be placed on that teams AHL team and then brought up. If some team claims him off waivers he has to stay on the NHL roster and they would then have to waive another roster player. Not sure if that’s 100% accurate but something like that |

This is a WOW move 👀👀👀
It's like as surprising as it is not surprising. I bet he won't report and the Sabres will mutually terminate him, or loan him to an AHL team. |

I agree, just think Sam's price is going to reflect playing on eichels line. Not sure if that's the "right price".
I Cant blame Sam for trying to really cash in either. |

SO say Bogosian is not claimed.
He is then traded and the Sabres hold salary.
He is brought up from the NHL club by the team that trades for him.
He is then claimed by another team on re-entry waivers.
I assume that salary hold just transfers to the other team? |

IF Reinhart can get 70 points a year on Jacks wing for the next 7 years, yea they need to sign him.
Think what Okposo was supposed to be. |

Re-entry waivers went away in the last CBA.
