Remember when we were picking 11th with st Louis's pick. #goodtimes
Montour cost a 1st and a B prospect
Risto you are moving for a 1st?
You value montour more? - Boss34
No I value picks and young decent hockey players, which hopefully 1 of them will get us. |

A update on my brother. .
Many On here have witnessed how disgusting my brother is but for the past year hes actually been isolated in a private school in Dallas and I'm going to visit him this week to see if he changed. - gerbe75pts
Tell us again how he broke your leg?

Greg Wyshinski (sp) was on WGR today and basically said what a lot of us have said.
Next year is the make or break for this management group.
He said they had to rebuild a rebuild and what’s holding us back is Mittelstadt not developing as hoped.
I think hiring another GM is a potentially horrible idea and we’d be looking at another rebuild of a rebuild of a rebuild.
Botterill will know his job is on the line and will have to make the playoffs or get fired (or not extended).
Personally, I don’t want another GM coming in, thinking he has just the right coach to fix Ristolainen, wasn’t a fan of Cozens so he just trades him in a deal for an average top 6 center etc.
It can get worse - sbroads24
Sounds like this guy is stalking my posts. |

I don’t think so.
Next year Botts draft picks like Mitts, Bryson, UPL, overseas FA’s like Ruostolainen and Pilut need to show some return on investment. Not all at the NHL level but we need a clearer picture on what they will be.
He also needs to make the playoffs. Period. End of story. And I think he and ownership are pretty aware of that - sbroads24

Ok, you wanted to trade a 1st for risto?
I would like a 2nd line rw for risto. Or really not trade him.
Picks and prospects - I'm not really trying to rebuild again.
Same for a sam trade. Need players not picks or prospects. Nhl proven players.

I dunno, I just can’t picture a scenario or a situation where Botts gets canned. He’s very patient and he doesn’t care about what fans think of the team. He’s not going to be rushed into attempting to make the playoffs.
Even if he does try to put together a team that squeaks into the playoffs next year. It’ll be the first time he’s ever tried to achieve that lofty goal. Should he be fired for coming up short in his one-and-only try? |

This makes it sound like Botterill in no way could be fired within the next several years; otherwise it’d be a “rebuild of a rebuild of a rebuild”.
So he’s under absolutely no pressure at all. There is no “make or break” for JB. If he misses next year, what are they gonna do? Fire him? Then bring in someone else and rebuild again? Blame will be placed solely on his predecessor and players “not performing to their averages”. - PrinceChill
If I'm being honest, I think the charisma and savvy he brings during interviews has earned him a Darcy like tenure. When asked what his thoughts on the TDL were, he responds that the TDL isn't today so he hasn't thought about it. The Pegulas got to be mesmerized at his ability to live in the present. He and Kruegs are speaking the same language. Synergy. The expansion draft might as well be some time next decade. It can definitely get a lot worse. |

But those picks or prospects could be used to get you that RW or C. I tell you Boss I have been going on other teams posts, and I really hope GM'S around the league have a better liking of some of are players, cause if it's the same as other fans we are in trouble. |

Every team's fans are unreasonable when it comes to mock trades. They dont want the Sabres garbage but theyll take Reinhart for a 3rd if they have to
A Risto return is pretty unknowable. The only offer I heard that I think is true involved us getting Kase but taking a bad contract.
I would love to know the best offer |

If you go to other team’s blogs and ask them what they’d give up for Jack, prepare to be underwhelmed. |

Yeah, I would too, and did these offers come before the season started, cause obviously Botts was still in love with Mitts |

There ya go. There’s JB’s case against getting fired. I had a slightly different one that reached the same conclusion:
2021 bottom 3 finish: “Look, I just added yet another premiere piece.
Draft 7-11: “Look, I just added another very good player, that were very excited about.”
Draft 11-14: “Look, we almost made the playoffs. That’s amazing progress.”
Lost in 1st round: “Look, it was a tremendous step forward.”
I don’t think there’s any scenario where he would look bad. |

This team is a pile of poo
When you go to the game you really notice.
Eichel line
Skinner and 2 other borderline players
3 turds
3 more turds
And I like girgs lazar and even Larsson.
We have a couple actual nhl valued players
Sam being one of them
I see sam defenders points: he's not the problem, add don't subtract ect. We'll miss him ect.
We only have a couple good players . We need good players for our good players.
Different not loser faces. |

As I learned from Kaiser It's very disrespectful to talk about someone's family when you don't know them ..
I'm not going to disrespect you to get a rise I'm not that kind of person anymore but I hope you have a lovely night

Solid position to be living in. No pressure for botts.
90 -92 keeps him alive too. Progress
