It seems like you know your stuff and rely a lot on analytics. Please take some extra time to study the Leafs. Is Anderson or Hutchison the goat
- Camel

Andersen has been struggling lately and so have the Leafs. He had a GAA of 3.73 and a Sv% of .893 in January.

There’s definitely some signs that we have a chance to take a big step

Just look at what killed us this year:
1- goaltending for sure
-can we bring someone in to pair with Ullmark & play decent? I don’t see why not
2- the PK
-seems like something that’s fixable to me
3- secondary scoring
-we got very little from Mitts & Skinner this year,
and Dahlin didn’t play well for big chunks of the season

All 3 of those things are easily fixable imo
Doing those alone, and nothing else,
and we’re at least contenders for the playoffs

And if we can bring in another top6 scorer,
and get something out of Mitts & Cozens...
Then we could finally start to look like the team we all wanna see

Yeah... there’s some “ifs” there
But nothing that’s not reachable imo

So again. Using analytics who is more responsible for the leafs drop in the standings from last year. Hutch or Anderson

Having a little bit better injury luck would be nice. Goaltending plays a big part of our PK being a joke as well.

My fault
I’m just not as grouchy about things as many on here are

We’ve still go a ways before we are top2 in our division
But getting to 3rd is within reach without having to do anything all that drastic

Plus... we are gonna get some lotto luck this year
I’ve got a good feeling

I saw a fat gray haired lady in the post-game footage fanning herself and hyperventilating because she was getting an autograph from Jason Pominville. And I thought to myself, “Look at that, Boss34 made it onto TV.”

Ok. So the point I can make to you is analytics isn’t always the way one would make decisions. Ex: do analytics take into consideration who is shooting. Who is in net. Was it a rebound. Was it deflected. etc etc. The point is analytics are not completely factual because they do not cover all possible decisions, options or reactions that are common with sports in general.
Analytics do not know if Erod or Eichel are the best teammates or is a player playing with an injury.
To say Analytics is the best reporting tool is like saying only plastic straws will do.
