Hey I’m not saying this to say it again but it certainly proves a point that by merely looking at individuals on a roster doesn’t mean jack shat. How many times do we have to hear the same old shat about the roster? Mean while the team is having success. The Devils and Rags signed players not just to be better. When you make that type of investment you want to make the POs imho.

All the shat signings that you thought were crap that helped the Islanders solidify their bottom 6 and defensive play, make the POs and win a round in the first year of Lous regime. Took Garth how long? (frank) it was like we won the Stanley cup back then and now winning a round means nothing

Sorry 7 I do not believe it was the bottom 6 signings it was Barry coaching the team how to play defense for the first time. I know Lou gets credit for hiring Barry. Isles winning that 1st round against Florida was nice but was forgotten quickly after the Tampa series. I know it's 1.5 years since Lou has been GM. I never said the Isles would be poopty. I thought if things went right they could challenge for a playoff spot and more than a few on this thread thought the same. I gave credit but I'm over with the Isles winning a round. We've seen that already and we've seen it with many of these same players. Now it's time to do better than winning one round.
