We needed to talk about something less polarizing and anger inducing than last night's game. - Chunk
THe last 2 games.....UGH
Bad deal vs Boston
Winnipeg they started great and then just.....well......showed a very perfect example of the season. GREAT/TERRIBLE all within 60 minutes.
Which, for the record, I can completely understand why Bowman hasn't done anything yet. Imagine seeing this as a GM.....1 game you look like a playoff caliber team, the other you look like a lottery pick. |

If it wasn't for the damn salary cap the Hawks probably would have had a super-team that went to the finals 10 years straight and probably would have won 7-8 Cups.... - Savard2Secord
This is so stupid I can't believe you wrote it. |

No help from the East:
Arizona scores a PP goal in the 59th minute to beat the Habs 3-2.
Habs blew a 2-0 lead - Coyotes had been 0-5 on the PP before the last one. |

Elbows having a meltdown?
NO....all seriousness, I like Lehner but tying him up doesn't make sense with the roster as constructed.
and my tin foil hat self thinks maybe they are keeping Lehner healthy to make sure they can deal him AND also pushing CC to see if he can handle a larger workload again given his concussion history.

Imagine that, a PP goal for, instead of a SHG against. What a novel idea. |

They need to go a long run.....6 to 8 games with maybe 1 or 2 OTL at best.
With a ton of help and minimal 3 point games between teams they are chasing. |

The story line is the poor play by Crow in the third period. I know he made some good saves throughout the game, but his positioning on the tying goal, with Keith forcing the shooter to the outside and below the face-off dot, was dreadful. way back in the crease, skates inside the goal, on his knees early. easy pickings for short side upstairs. 4th goal was the same way but from the other side of the net. |

I think if Crawford WANTS, and that's the huge variable here with his wife, young kid, injury history...…..he COULD get a 3-4 year deal on the open market for similar money to what he's earning now.
HEs not a liability out there. HE can still be a 1 on a playoff team.
Respectfully disagree to compare him to Ward. NOt yet at least. - SteveRain

Thank you for a good argument - most of which I disagree with, but ok.
If Trump wins again in November (and I fear he will, or rather, that the Democrats will screw it up), chances are the Democrat will win the popular vote by several million - as in 2016 and 2000. That would make 5 of the last 6 Presidential elections with the Democrats winning the popular vote, but losing 3 of the in the Electoral college. Legitimate constitutional victories for Bush and Trump - but where is the (small-d) democracy?
Time to end the undemocratic Electoral College. - StLBravesFan
we will agree to respectfully disagree.
I just hope the polarizing times end....everyone is way too triggered in today's society.

.912 sv & and a sub 3 GAA playing in front of a dumpster fire d corps? With 2 cups on his resume?
I think he can get 3 years and 6 AAV....assuming he makes it through the rest of the year not getting hurt.
A team with a window to win NOW would take a chance. |

Speaking of hockey - The Beanpot final between Boston U. and Northeastern has been very good game. BU took a 2-0 lead after the 1st. NU came back with 4 unanswered in the 2nd and now BU ties it up 4-4 with 1.2 seconds left. Starting OT now.
All 3 Hawks prospects have looked pretty good. Ryan Shea has a couple assists and is bigger and a better skater than I thought and he plays big minutes in all situations. Jake Wise has been very noticeable with a goal and assist including the assist on the goal to send it to OT. Alex Vlassic has played pretty well too. |

Minnesota Wild have traded forward Jason Zucker to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for Alex Galchenyuk, a 2020 first-round pick, and prospect Calen Addison - ikeane
It must be nice to have a GM that knows what he's doing and understands timing. |
