I won't go that far.....yet. Maybe when Bettman is replaced, I will soften up. Or if he admits he rigged the Crosby draft.

Many think the Kane draft was rigged for the Hawks.

I don’t recall Kane being the clear cut 1st pick prior to the draft. Recall lots of teams loving JVR

Tough loss. Back to back ot games.

Last night they had more chances but missed. Kampf had a gimme tap in he jacked up. Toews hit the bar.

Debrincat Gus hit posts tonight.

It’s going to get more intense as the season wanes down. I already wrote them off weeks ago so I’m in the bonus mentally ....😂

Their pk and goaltending is masking a lot of issues here. No team is perfect but hawks have less room for error.

Hopefully 12 gets rolling.

Back-to-Back-to-Back OT games - AZ was extra time, too.

Apples to oranges. Was Kane talked up as much as Crosby was? I do not remember Kane always being touted as the #1 pick that year.

Kane was too small, still is come to think of it. It was bad enough, in hindsight that JVR was considered by some to be a better selection than Kane but some thought Kyle Turris was too.

Hawks have scored 5 goals in 9 periods plus 3 OTs - and come away 1-0-2=4 points.

Could be worse. (Could be raining.)

that's hockey..the scoring has dried up but still getting points and playing well defensively and netminding continues to be strong...

Yeah I didn’t think Kane was a slam dunk to be 1st.

Kyle turris is a turd. Hope VopatsRush is enjoying that steaming pile.

I saw Kane back check tonight so maybe He can. Stick around until the Winnipeg game. Then again he didn’t go in front of the net so maybe not.....

no word on this...but my visual take as he was skating off...not serious

but its hard to say if it was arm, wrist or shoulder

He braced his arm and body looked to fall below the outstretched arm.

Let’s hope it’s just a minor tweak and not any sort of separation that sidelined him weeks. Kid is playing well. Needs to bulk up this offseason.

Didn’t St. Louis lose a game in OT on a blatant hand pass by Karlsson in the semi’s.

Yep. Get a few guys going namely 12/17.

I get what JC is doing spreading it out across 3 lines...

20-19-8
88-77-12
91-22-17
92-64-15

Which is irrelevant to the fact that many think the #1 pick was rigged for the Hawks. Especially Philly fans.

Kane was far and away the best player in his draft based on talent. Size was the only reason there was some trepidation regarding Kane. It sure the heck wasn't talent.

What exactly is he spreading with that line? He should spread 15 around the press box.

And as Nester said - if the whistle blew (and it did) - play is dead before the shot even if they decided it wasn’t a hand pass.

Not doing anything on that following PP is what heat them - game was in their hands - they dropped it.

- StLBravesFan

Agreed, they had a huge opportunity with that PP and crapped the bed. The only time I get mad at a ref or umpire is when they don’t hustle to get closer to the play, other than that they have a split second to make a call, they are human and impartial IMHO.

Second night in a row in O/T nobody on the Hawks backs up to prevent breakaways and no forwards hustling back to prevent a two on one. That's not acceptable.

We were lucky to get a point . Our two goalies each got a point for the Hawks... Great goal tending. I am not sure why our coach did not challenge the goal not allowed... All three coaches were huddling around watching the replay on the tablet. I would have called time out at that moment and really put that play under a microscope.

There is one thing that really stood out in this game ...Quality Depth . The Hawks have barely 2 quality lines. Boston came out with 4 lines that were physical , fast and were able to consistently create abundance of quality scoring chances. This could have been a cake walk for the Bruins if it wasn't for our great goal tending.

Surprisingly, the Hawks are still in the hunt for a playoff position...to win a Cup with this lineup however, would be more than a miracle.

P.S. What is going on with Kane . He looks like he is either sick or disinterested. He looks like he is skating with only 3 cylinders. He has scored 1 goal in about 3 weeks of play because most of his shots are from the perimeter or from a bad angle. Kane was never a poster child for his defensive prowess ... But now he avoids contact like the Chinese virus has spread onto the ice. I woen't even dwell on his efforts of not coming back on defense.

Well when you have lotteries to determine draft order which is supposed to dissuade ranking, you get situations people think the thing is rigged. Patrick Ewing to
Knicks is example A

My point was Crosby was a lock to go 1.

People could say bowman jumping up to
3rd this past year was rigged as well.

I don’t believe any of it. How many top picks has Edmonton had (top 5) and what has it gotten them?

Just go back to standings for draft order. If teams tank it’s on bettman to ride them. Nfl has it that way and it doesn’t seem to hurt their sport.

Why in the world Smith is playing over Highmore is beyond me, I sure hope that there’s a good reason. Well, we get to see our new Dman next game, let’s see what he brings.
