Slo-mo replay showed it did. But at speed it was unclear. It's reviewble if that's how it went into the net, but not a pass. - 6628
And as Nester said - if the whistle blew (and it did) - play is dead before the shot even if they decided it wasn’t a hand pass.
Not doing anything on that following PP is what heat them - game was in their hands - they dropped it. |

Jonathan Toews said officials admitted to him after game that they blew hand pass call, saying it was a “mistake.” #Blackhawks - pdx2ord
You could tell how sheepishly the ref was signaling the Boston goal .What a F--king joke the ref's were tonight .. |

Once the whistle blew, it didn’t matter - mistake or not, play was dead. |

But again, why wasn't Bergeron called for an elbow to the head, just like they called Smith. - powerenforcer
Why wasn't Maatta called for elbowing Krug in the head? |

So it's ok to point out someone complaining about the refs ad nauseam is tiresome, but it's not ok to point out that people complaining about other things ad nauseam is tiresome...i.e. Stan trades, Toews sucking, the team sucking, Evil McD, etc.
At the root of it, aren't you essentially complaining about a guy complaining? - HawkintheD

They were dominated 5 on 5. They were asleep the 1st 20 minutes. They were out shot almost 2 to 1.
They had pps. They hit posts. They looked gassed and were chasing Boston way too much.
Take the 1 point and hope they can get a minimum of 6+ out of 10 in centraL/western Canada. - SteveRain
Yet, they had a lead late in the game.......The crazy thing about the play, Pasta stopped skating and said something to the ref, yet the ref still had his arm up. So there was no whistle as the Drake was skating with the puck. |

Did you hear the whistle before the goal? (genuinely asking, as I couldn't watch the game). I'm seeing reports it was blown only after the goal went in. |

I like a lot of Wolfie's posts but he complains about a lot of others complaining about others complaining. So just calling it out for what it is.
I've got no gripes so not sure what you're referencing. |

I think we can agree, refereeing is very inconsistent. |

The lead ref was waving the play off before Caggiula even took the shot. Usually are blowing the whistle when they do that. The Bruin players must have heard it because they are were pulling up. |

Sooooo why didn’t that goal we scored at the end of regulation count? Phantom hand pass? Was that even why the refs blew the whistle? Bunch of BS if you ask me. - SimpleJack
With absolutely NO EXPLANATION to the 22000 people in attendance and Edzo trying to play it down the middle and not call out the refs. Of course that idiots on the national feed said it was a good call. Bettman's officials are consistently bad.

Right. So blaming or thinking the refs favor one team or another is foolhardy. |

Crap happens. I don’t think there is a conspiracy to rear end the hawks. The hammer game 7 vs Detroit was the only time in the last 10+
Years I felt they had a legit beef. It happens. Game is fast. These guys will
Miss things. Every ref/ump does.
I view it like football. If they wanted to call
Holding every play they could. If they wanted to call a hook/slash/interference on every shift they Could. Toews whacks the living hell out of guys. So does Keith. |

I won't go that far.....yet. Maybe when Bettman is replaced, I will soften up. Or if he admits he rigged the Crosby draft. |

Tough loss. Back to back ot games.
Last night they had more chances but missed. Kampf had a gimme tap in he jacked up. Toews hit the bar.
Debrincat Gus hit posts tonight.
It’s going to get more intense as the season wanes down. I already wrote them off weeks ago so I’m in the bonus mentally ....😂
Their pk and goaltending is masking a lot of issues here. No team is perfect but hawks have less room for error.
Hopefully 12 gets rolling. |

Jones said the Boston players pulled up. So using his logic, when Kane (or other player) stops skating to get back defensively, a whistle should blow the play dead? Still want to know why the lead ref never stopped the play? |

From TheScore:
The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired goaltender Jack Campbell and forward Kyle Clifford from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for forward Trevor Moore, a third round pick in 2020 and an additional conditional third round pick in 2021, the team announced Wednesday.
The Kings will retain 50% of Clifford's salary as a part of the transaction, according to the team. |
