For the right return we can take on salary for this year. - Angotti
Agree, I would take Kapanen (who is struggling, and almost a scratch), and Jeremy Bracco

Crawford in net again tonight vs. Wild. Which means it's Lehner vs. Bruins tomorrow.
Colliton: "I don't see us getting away from splitting the back to backs. But if the guys know there's competition and those extra starts are up for grabs I think it's pushing to be better."
Colliton on goalie situation:
"Both guys are constantly trying to prove that they deserve more. They both believe they should be in every night. That's the type of competitors they are. But that competition has been really healthy for us." |

Can you stand by quietly and watch the Hawks help the Leaves increase their chances of winning a Cup? - mohel
The leaves ain’t winning a cup while they continue trading chance for chance with the opposition regardless of who they have in net. |

For the right player we can take on a few years of salary.
Kapanen 2 more years at $3.2 mil. (23 yrs old)
Kerfoot 3 more years at $3.5 mil (25)
Johnsson3 more years at $3.4 mil ($25)
If we retain some salary of Lehner or Crow the math works. Maybe they need to add a draft pick or a decent prospect if we retain salary. They don't have 1st and 3rd picks next year. So maybe a decent prospect.
If you acquire one of those 3 then you have to consider moving Strome, ADB, or Saad. You can get a pretty fair return for any of them. In any case it gives you some flexibility.
If you fall out of the race in the next two weeks you move Maatta for additional assets. |

Any predictions for tonight's game???
I always say the difference between winning and losing in the NHL is razor thin. I think the Hawks are on the wrong end of the razor tonight. Minnesota 4 to 2 (one empty netter). But I hope I am wrong. |

Crawford / lehner gust and sikrua to toronto for kapeean ceci, to offset the money, bracco or another prospect and a 2nd this year and 3rd next year. The pressure is on the Toronto to make the playoffs i think will have to overpay.

I’ll take the reversal, 4-2 Hawks, Hawks with two power play goals(now that’s going out on the limb). |

You'll be screaming for Nylander's head before he's played 5 games. He can score but like most other Leaf players he has no interest in any other facet of the game. Wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole even if the leaves took his brother back as part of the deal. |

Toronto need a goalie, Anderson got hurt last night, who knows how serious, and with unreliable backup the Leafs need a solid backup. The Leafs have some decent prospects and draft picks. - paulr
I was readig the comments on their latest blog and them brilliant folks seem to think Lehner + for Johnsson is fair lmao |

I know im shifting gears here but any chance De Haan returns if Hawks make playoffs? He had surgery end of December and recovery was estimated 4-5 months. |

I'm not a doctor but his shoulder didn't hold up very well the last time he rushed back I'm sure they'll be extra careful this time. |

And no one wants Ceci. We have seen enough poopty D-men. No reason to have to watch Ceci for 30 games. |

Agree with holding him out and give him the few additional months til October to heal the shoulder. Given that I fear that one hit in the wrong spot will put him out of commission again next season. |

Only reasone ceci would come in a trade is to offset the money other than that he sucks and brings nothing to the ice. |
