Honest question, what is the most ridiculous price tag a literal (frank)ing backup was ever traded for in the sports history?

That's about as stupid as suggesting that the leafs are going to get Seth Jones for Sandin... Because they're trying to reset the market on teenage defenseman....

Probably the raycroft one. But even he won a Calder as a starter prior to that trade. I feel nauseous saying it but that trade on that day probably made more sense than Nylander for Georgiev would right now.

It also made sense because JFJ was thinking Raycroft would be our starter. Georgiev would still be a backup. We wouldn't be expecting more.

I think we go big... Nylander and Ander5en for Gibson and Gudbranson.

It would hurt, but Gibson would be awesome on this team

OR... we stay patient, hope the young core finally actually starts learning something and the team starts to get sometime within the realm of meeting expectations.
