Canes fans, Ottawa is interested in your 1st round pick in 2020 (you still get to have Toronto's). What do you think is a fair deal?
Players on the table: Pageau, Tierney, Namestnikov, Anisimov, Ennis, Hainsey, Borowiecki, DeMelo, Anderson. We might even add in one of our 3rd round picks in the mix.
What's your offer for that 1st? |

I dont think any of our players will be an addition to the current Canes roster. Maybe Boro and DeMelo but they wont bring back a first |

Borowiecki and maybe Ennis are of interest. I'd like Pageau, but I think he's too expensive. |

GM Waddell seems committed to the draft. He has not been one to trade away high draft picks since he took over for Ron Francis. The deal has to be real good for him to deviate. |

I grow ever more suspicious that Waddell is just the front man with Tulsky steering the ship. |

There is probably more truth to that than anyone is willing to admit. |

Yes, having Williams adds great depth and a wealth of experience. Not sure your get a better trade deal there. As for our 2 # 1 picks, I hold onto both unless an offer blows you out of the water. Toronto is desperate for D, and might part with one of their young guns for a #1 next year. Food for thought, but again it would have to make sense, and these deals are tough to predict panning out. |

How is the draft pick gonna help their D? They need help now, not in 2-4 years.
Would have to be 3 teams involved where that #1 gets flipped else I don't see how that can work.

Ironically Slavin who never hits the net with his point slap shot wins the shooting accuracy contest at the All Star game. |
