Anthony Travalgia: Bruce Cassidy shakes up lineup; Bruins enter break on a high note With a new look lineup Tuesday night, the Bruins finished the unofficial first half of the season off with a solid 3-2 victory over the Golden Knights.

I really liked that they kept Coyles line together. They’re showing some real promise together. I wouldn’t mind seeing one change though. I know people love the perfection line but I’d like to see them switch Krejci and Bergy. Krejci is the more offensive forward and I think you could make a great shutdown line with Bergy

Marchand Krejci Pasta
Heinen Bergy Kuhlman
DeBrusk Coyle Bjork

Did the Boston fanbase ever expect that Pasta would explode like this?

His talent has always been obvious, but to an outside observer, this season's production has been a bit of a surprise.

Pasta was on a similar pace at this point last season which is when his injury occurred. He never really regained form last season after that thumb injury. He is still a young kid and his progression season to season to this point is somewhat on track. 30+ two seasons ago, would have easily been 40+ last season, and now 50+ for this season (barring injury or unexplained extended drought). So simple answer to me is that this is not a "surprise". He's matured, mentally and more importantly physically, so based upon what the scrawny kid was doing a few seasons ago...not surprising.

Well, you did good for a late first round pick. Usually by the time you get past that 20th pick, it's a total crapshoot. I mean, I'd gladly take Pasta over who the Lightning took in that 2014 draft (DeAngelo).

Can anyone tell me how Auston Matthews misses the all star game and that slot isn't filled with Marchand?

Brady Tkachuk? He has 27 points... Anthony Duclair 33 points.
Brad Marchand 65.

Unless he declined. Mind boggling.

Yeah Pasta has been buzzing all season. Same with last year until he got hurt. He doesn't really take nights off either. He generally has a pretty good motor and works hard.

Zero complaints here.

You HAD to bring that up...although I'm not going to complain about Debrusk or Carlo so 2015 wasn't a total disaster.

I had forgot Carlo was 2015 - and he has worked out very well.
Just don't get the 1st round selections...

Coincidentally, that was also the year Sweeny traded for Rinaldo right?

I'll stop now...

The kid is from St. Louis.
It's a big deal for him, I'd bet.
Nothing to do with who's had a better half.
