The Rangers need secondary scoring. Panarin has shouldered most of the load all season.

CK20 in the fastest skater competition??

Need to break up those top 2 lines. The 3rd line has been playing better but no results so far, it’s to young of a line. I’m done with McKegg on the 4th line, try out DiGuiseppe.

Before everyone gets all pissed, apparently Zib declined the offer for the all star game.

I cant (frank)ing stand this offside rule

Fast's skate up at the line gave no advantage to the Rangers and had nothing to do with the goal that was scored that they worked their asses off for

it's a maddening rule in a league that claims it wants to increase scoring

gonna be tough to come back from these last two losses

they deserved a better fate both games

We really need a bottom 6 who can wear out some teams with their forecheck. The 4th line needs overhaul and 3rd line plus well but not results. Move howden to 4th line wing already

I think though falling out could be a blessing in disguise though. If we were on the bubble, we all know we are the Rangers, no way we don't at least think about buying. Now if they want to trade CK they can, I don't advocate it, but they could sell high on Strome if they really wanted to as well.

Biggest porblem is the Rangers can't put together more than a 2 game winning streak.

They really need a legit 7-1-1 type of a run soon to have a chance

I have no problem with the offside rule as is.
This has been the rule for 100 years. It hasn't changed in any way. If the player's don't know how to abide by the rule, that's on them. Why does a change need to be made because of a handful of isolated cases?? Keep your damn skate on the ice and allow 6 inches of leeway to ensure you are onside. That would not erase a scoring chance.
I'd imagine that this has worked in our favour pretty much as often as against us over the Rangers history.

I was yelling for them not to bother scoring on that play, because I knew it was coming back, even in real time.

McKegg is frustrating because he looks to be AT LEAST as fast as Kreider, but it amounts to nothing. At least throw your body around!!!

I think the problem I have with the offside rule is that linesmen also blow good plays dead, and there is nothing that can be done about that, probably about the same amount of times they miss blowing an offside

I just don't think offsides should be challenged, I am fine with human error on that

the guys on Rangers twitter who obsess over draft picks and prospects all seem to lust after John Beecher, Bruins pick from last year who plays at University of Michigan.

I'd have to disagree based on a couple of instances.
When James Neal was straddling the line and waiting for the puck in the Stanley Cup and he's offside because he pushes off to start to move forward.
When Drouin was skating into the zone in the playoffs and his natural stride left him with no skate on the ice as he entered the zone.
Instances like last night where you are engaged with a player and you can't put your skate down because his foot or body is underneath you.

No advantage was gained in any above situation. The player's body (often half of it or more) is clearly above the blue line. It should be like football with an infinite line from the pylon, just upwards. It's an easier call than seeing if a skate was on the ice. That's my 2 cents.

I see your point, but it has always been the case that defenders will essentially interfere with someone to put them offside and it has never been called.
I agree it would make the call easier, but I guess I'm just kind of a traditionalist. There really is nothing wrong with the rule as is. There is no reason it has to be like football.

Not changing the rule to that is like saying the puck needs to hit the ice behind the goal line to count. You either break the plane or you do not. Would it not be easier with a direct overhead/side view to see if a players body is on the line or not?
