You clearly didn't even watch the game and just based upon the scoresheet. As it was Pysyks shot from the point that was then tipped by Ekblad and then again by Acciari.

Corrected and I was more interested in the high stick potential rather than the original shot. Good call though.

We know that Karill Kaprizov is coming next season

Do you have sources with information that isn't public, or just saying "know" as it's the most likely scenario?

I did think the goal was going to be called back it must have been too close to call back OR the officials wanted to go home

Yeah, I believe if the call would have been no goal to start, it would have stayed that way. That was one of those plays that its a 50/50 shot either way. Just didn't go the Wild's way.

That being said, I agree Dan, now is probably the best time for Guerin to open up the bidding on basically the entire roster and see what the offers are. I am pretty sure most GMs are going to be trying to rob the Wild blind, since 1) everyone knows the Wild are selling, 2) they have a 1st year GM and 3) they don't really have the best trade assets to begin with.

Normally, I would love to be a GM in the NHL, but right now, I really wouldn't want Billy Guerin's job.

Y'all want Erik Haula back?

Apparently Brind'amour isn't a fan.

Just in! The Wild beat the Red Wings!!!! Time to sell the farm and get an over priced player at the deadline so we can get the 8th seat and loose the 1st round so we can sell the playoff tickets and (frank) the fans!! WOOOO HOOOOO!

I really don't think Staal will drop his NTC. I think he just wants to finish out his career in MN. Being close to home seems to have been a big thing with Staal. And actually, I don't think Guerin is all that inclined to move Brodin either. I think he has at least 4 other Dman that he would prefer to move first in Suter, Spurgeon, Dumba and Seeler.

But thanks for the offer.

He has a modified NTC. Can list 10 teams he doesn't want to be traded to.

that's it.

Also, you'd trade Spurgeon first?? I'm listening.

The whole point of the players I listed as wanting to trade is to help get the Wild younger. If I am offering up Spurgeon, I would want youth. The best target I see is Andrei Svechnikov, which I know would be a hard NO...followed by a LOT of laughing.

My reasoning for trading Spurgeon over Brodin? Cap space and age. Brodin is 3 years younger than Spurgeon. And cap space-wise, Spurgeon has a pretty high cap space for the future. I don't believe Brodin will ever be that expensive and the Wild already have 2 albatross contracts going into the future with Suter and Parise. I firmly believe the Wild need to be gutted and a TON of youth be infused. I guess Dumba doesn't line up with trying to get younger, as he is even younger than Brodin. But I think he could bring back to pretty good return. And Seeler is just an extra that the Wild doesn't need.

Same thing again...I'm pretty sure they would be laughing at a Aho for Spurgeon trade. I'm all for it though.

I have a lot to be excited about this weekend. I have a nephew in 1 hockey tourney and 2 of my nieces in another tourney....all here in Duluth. I get hockey all weekend long. That what makes this state great for hockey...whether its Ice Mites, Bantams, High School, College or the Wild...there is always hockey going on.
