Hopefully that 7-1 loss doesn't sit well with them. I forget, were they without Malkin that game? This game they don't have Guentzel, so I guess that helps a little. |

He does have a lot of first period goals, including not falling down on the ice, remembering which direction to skate, and connecting on a pass from more than five feet.
All worthy goals. |

Ha!
I’m sure this has been discussed to nausea but I think I’d kick the tires of Carter, assuming Patrick is done for the season. |

I wouldn't. His play has dropped off, he's not cheap, and has 2 more seasons remaining. If it was just for this year, then sure. But I wouldn't want to give up the assets and deal with the cap hit for two more years unless Patrick retires, as I don't see a spot for him. |

The Kings are going to ask a lot for Carter, plus he's got 2 more years on his contract so I think Fletcher is going pass and just keep moving players up and down from LHV. There's always the possibility of another trade option as we get near the trade deadline? |

hah well played. I consider his most important goals being remembering where the Cote suite is located and not choking on the popcorn provided. |

Do we/you think there is any chance Kings would want JVR? Carter can play center or wing while JvR is more one-dimensional. That would end up saving us money. Never going to happen.
Have the Kings mentioned what the price would be for Crater? |

Bill, after that 1 game w 2 goals, Frosty has not put up a lot or productions despite team scoring well. Any thoughts on his progress down there? He sure aint forcing the Flyers to bring him back up. |

His 2 goal game was just on 1/15. He’s only played 2 games since then and had an assist in the last one. Your not exactly talking about a scoring drought. |

He didn't get a point next game after the two-goal game but it was one of his best overall games as a pro, including 2 scoring chances of his own and 3 he set up. Saturday's game had a nice assist but fairly quiet offensively after that; not a bad off-puck night for him, though. |

I admittingly wasn’t high on Bellemare while he was here. I think the reason was, how he was used. If you saw Bellemare on the ice, Chris Vandevalde was likely on the ice too and the pair just wasn’t effective. BUT MAN is he a player we could use right now. |

An NHL players poll on the Athletic had a few interesting answers. Most were predictable, McDavid, Price, Hedman, the best. The dirtiest: Marchand with Gudas still placing 4th. Most underrated: Barkov, which I had been thinking was so for a few years now.
Player you would like to have a beer with: OV, although I’ll bet he prefers Vodka.
Rule change: Puck over the glass penalty. Really? I found it interesting that the severe misconduct penalties for boarding, headshots etc were nowhere on the list.
Worst Ref: Justin St. Pierre, by a mile. One anonymous quote:
“St. Pierre may be the most arrogant human being I’ve ever seen. It’s honestly like he hates the players. He treats everybody like poop.” |

I liked PEB and was kind of disappointed he was drafted. Vegas obviously knew what they were doing.
He would be an ideal 4C on this team. A plug him in and forget him guy who can also be in the top four PK rotation.

Here's to a Flyers win and an Isles and Carolina loss.
Regardless of what actually happens tomorrow, the above is our reality. |
