I believe I read in Kane's accolades that he has one career shorthanded goal in his 13 year career. That would be in 2010 against Nashville in the waning moments of critical game (Game 5 in Nashville) with Hossa serving a 5 minute major boarding penalty the in the playoffs to send the game to overtime. (That Hossa won coming out of the box).

Kane - A big game big moment type of player. I salute you.

Does anyone ever think that if Nashville won that game they would have won that series and maybe changed their trajectory. Could they have been the team of the decades with 3 cups? Nah.

- -Doh-

The one SH goal they were referring to would have been regular season. Don’t recall one, but probably a similar situation to the Nashville game 5....

He has 1 shorthanded point in his career, not sure it is a goal or assist. The 1000 is regular season scoring, I believe.

I am sure I could look it up, but I would really like to know the Hawks' record in the 25 games Boqvist has played. I know the power play has not totally clicked yet with Boqvist at the point, but he is getting better every game offensively and most importantly in my mind defensively. He is so smooth on his skates, and he recovers very well when he does make a mistake because of his tremendous skating. He and Dach are both coming along very nicely, but man I am so encouraged how fast Boqvist has adjusted defensively. Not perfect, but the kid definitely belongs in my opinion.

It seems Boqvist is dedicated to being a two-way defenseman, and is focusing on that side of the puck. That is fantastic news.

Doesn’t he kinda have to, paired with a 2-time Norris Winner / future HOFer?

A pretty good mentor for the kid.

Have they been booing Colliton? Not sure I recall it.

During the last losing streak, before this recent win streak. During pre-game announcements.

Sure, if he wants to be a real stud. He could just focus on scoring as a way to maximize cash. Glad he's choosing to try to be an all-around player.

I smell a cover up.

Hockey Reference lists PK with 380 regular season goals, 274 EV, 106 PP.

His only SH was in the 09-10 playoffs.

Thinking some intern on the Hawk TV production screwed up.

EDIT: He does have 1 regular season SH assist, also in the 09-10 season.

I have no knowledge just spitballing. Rangers have a goaltending problem in that they have 2 grade A goaltending prospects and Lundquist.

How about Saad, Sikura, and their pick of Delia or Lankanin for Gorgiev and R. Strome?

Then sign Crow and peddle Lehner to the highest bidder.

Not sure what caused it (and beats aren't either), but here's the vid of the tail end and some tweets:

@MarkLazerus
Jonathan Toews and Duncan Keith were just scrapping at the morning skate. Toews had Keith pinned down on the ice. and had most of his jersey off. Sheldon Brookbank broke them up. A few stick-taps from around the team and back to the usual morning skate. That was... interesting. It was hardly a violent affair, but it didn't look playful, either.

If the Hawks continue their run, I doubt if Saad would be traded at the TDL. If he does get traded for cap space or to improve another area of the team, IMO it would happen in the off season before his modified NTC kicks in to give Bowman some more options. Unfortunately, the return for him at the TDL would be more since contenders are looking for that missing piece for a playoff run than after the season when he'll be a one year rental by that time.

For me when you talk about trading Saad for cap space he will have basically the same cap hit as Dinky next year. I'll keep Saad and take my chances resigning him. It's a no-brainer between the two.

Amped up for tonight's contest? Theatrical? Staged? If serious, it shows their intensity. They went right back in line next to each other to do drills. Much ado about nothing.

I'm sure they are both very amped to play in front of Q again.

As long as it doesn't continue or devolve into some stupid Sharpy in 2015 like thing in the media, all good. Just brothers tussling.

I smell a trade to Florida by 2:00 P.M. and Q and Tallon want to meet with him first.

Rick, you are a genius - no wonder Gilbert was recalled - replacing Keith after he's traded to the Panthers.
