I’d like to see them replace ADB with Jonathan Drouin.???????

Done, throw in Sikura to seal the deal.

Also known as Leddy Face. If someone comes to the Hawks and offers a first for the services of Gusto...take it Stanbo!

Both were schooled by Mike Modano, who still is unable to close his pie-hole.

ehhh ... Modano was more toothy. Gustafsson and Leddy both have that "uhhh which way did he go" look.

That's not a win-win trade. ADB is a proven 40 goal scorer having a bad year. Drouin is overrated and injury prone. Throw in Cole Caufield and I might and I said might just consider that.

Who has been slipping the pharmaceuticals to Koekkoek? Good God, I can barely recognize the man. Really deserves a round of cheers. (Watch closely, they'll include him in a package deal).

The deer in headlights look. Got it! We're probably both really pissed about tonite's loss. Gotta have a little fun critiquing ugly mouths. LOL.

Not saying the cat can’t recover but I think the rest of the league is caught up to him. As a smaller player he’s got to be like a water bug out there like Johnny hockey and somebody other guys his size. He seems to be focused on staying still just waiting for that one timer kind of like Larmer and Panerin perfected. As far as Jonathan Drouin maybe that was all bullpoop that was written a little while back, although you never know about Marc Bergevin ,

Crow should have started this game. He would have been pumped to face Q.
- Elbows15

Agreed although on the Lehner bandwagon I was surprised they didn't start Crow. And Lehner's first two goals were "beer league bad."

Ok, I am not a hockey pro, scout or any of that poop I just kinda call it like I see it and if you ever need me to scout really good Tier II Bantam kids (just below AAA Tier 1) then Im your man, but is it me or does Adam Boqvist have a special instinct and feel on the ice? Yes, he's a fine skater, can pass and shoot, but I am just blown away by those instincts to play defense, I find that his senses are elite.
- kwolf68

I think Boqvist has made a huge difference. Guys see what he can do and it gives everyone confidence. Especially keeping pucks in the offensive zone and getting pucks to the net. Fun to see his development

I'm not saying you are wrong or anyone else because I do not know however I have to think he injured his wrist or hand because he is missing shots and other plays he would normally make. I played with wrist and elbow injuries and I couldn't shoot the same or stick handle the same. A guy like DeBrincat has hands of gold. He isnt all of the sudden flubbing passes due to a new contract or opposition playing him tighter. IMO

This team is incapable of getting a win when it needs it at home. Going back to last season whenever they finally get a nice run going and get within striking distance of a playoff spot they CHOKE at home in games they should be able to win. It’s pathetic watching the same thing over and over again. Great on the road but awful at home.

This one is on Lehner. Worst performance of the season. Worst possible time. We needed this win. He should be beating himself up.

- SimpleJack

He probably is exhausted coming to chicago and being in this huge city and dealing with everything that comes along with playing on the team of the decade. He has that unique hybrid butterfly style and I think it saves him energy but it cost us on that one goal as we all saw

Hawks are down to 6 Ice Girls dressed. Have they had a bunch of injuries or were some sent to Rockford?
- scottak

Lol...that made my day. And I've had a great day (minus hawks loss of course)

The Pacific has 4 teams tied with 57 points which kinda skews the number but this team isn't good enough to make the playoffs.

They have some nice pieces moving forward and Bowman needs to make deals to add to that. Not chase the playoffs.

- Elbows15

Big picture view hawks are headed in the right direction but the team is incomplete and not a playoff team. Make hockey trades at the tdl that benefits both teams. In the long run it would be better if hawk got another top 10 pick.

Some good write ups in the Athletic this am from both Powers and Lazerus about last night's game and the return of Q. Here's Power's piece...

It was probably inevitable with Quenneville’s return, but Jeremy Colliton honestly didn’t deserve to be booed when introduced before Tuesday’s game. The Blackhawks entered the game on a five-game winning streak, and Colliton has had them playing as well as they have in the past few years. Whether you want to believe it or not, the Blackhawks are back in the playoff race from a points perspective.

It’s too bad people make it a Quenneville-vs.-Colliton thing. It’s not. The Blackhawks front office fired Quenneville, not Colliton. Colliton was just asked to replace him. Quenneville has never had any issues with Colliton.

There was a way to honor Quenneville and not trash Colliton. If you’ve listened to anything Colliton said over the past few days, you would have heard someone who admired Quenneville, too.

“It’s a chance to honor Joel,” Colliton said of the game a few days ago. “It’s a big night for the organization, and he was great to me so I want to honor him, too. Because it’s a big part of the reason why I came here to begin with is because he was here. So obviously want to beat him because they’re two big points for our team and we’re going to have to sit on that game for a bunch of days. We’re going to have to prepare with all the detail and excitement that we can muster, and then I’m sure there will be a lot of energy in the building and we’ve got to use it in the right way.”
Colliton was asked after the morning skate about mentioning that he came to the Blackhawks partly because of Quenneville.

“I had a pretty good situation in Sweden, so I wasn’t in a hurry to go just anywhere,” Colliton said. “Obviously, when the Hawks let me know they were interested and we started talking, the tradition of winning and knowing what it takes to win Stanley Cups, and obviously Joel was a huge part of that. Obviously, Stan and Scotty and being around people like that, I was at that point just thinking about my own personal development and also opportunity to get better. That’s what I wanted, to be around people like that.”

I’m not saying you have to love Colliton (scottak ) or you can’t question his decisions — everyone did the same with Quenneville — but I am saying he didn’t deserve what he got from a lot of Blackhawks fans Tuesday.

I assume Crawford was healthy.....

If he was......then you shouldn't really wonder why the fans booed Boy Wonder and his fashion statement of the day........once again he is tone deaf when it comes to the basics in being a player's Coach.....

Not to mention the New Kid on the Block that likes to tell us how Big Time he is in goal .....was out of position, soft, and statuesque in goal.......

But I know ......his soooo refreshing interview after the game will tell us it ain't on him.......even though he was soft on the post ......gave up half the net on an attack from the circle.....didn't attack the puck on a cross......and failed to get set on a rush........oooo but I know .....we need to give him a four year contract.

Remember when they played TBL earlier in the season - and Colliton wanted to get Koekkoek into the game against his former team - so he played 7 D and only 11 F - and was blasted for it?

So now he gets blasted for starting arguably (I say “arguably” hoping to stay on Elbow’s good side) the Hawks best and most consistent goalie this season instead of going the sentimental route....

Lehner was bad - three goals were cuddled-shudda been stopped - you could say “goalie loss” and not be wrong - but he had given up only 2-2-3-5-2-2-2=18 in his last 7 games - you couldn’t project him to give up 3 in 5 shots in one period.

EDIT TO ADD: I know these weren’t your thoughts, D - or those of anyone here - but of someone responding to The Athletic article.
