So what’s the deal with Raanta? He’s not been as good as you’ve claimed. |

Really Hamilton lock for Norris? Did you forget about Carlson? Sorry to see Hamilton go down. Having a terrific season, but only lock right now is Carlson. |

It has five teams that are are within 5 points of being a top 5 team in the NHL. I don't think there's anything obvious about it. |

These teams would be tied for 4th in the Atlantic and the central, tied for 6 in the metro, with almost all other divisions having at least a game in hand over the majority of pacific teams.
Not to mention the advantage of playing sj, Anaheim, and La 5 times each to pad points.
The metro is easily the best division in terms of points and winning 3 of the last 4 Stanley cups. |

Not sure what season Hamilton should have Norris trophy’s. Never been close to best in the League.
Injury’s seem to be the main focus of this blogger. |

True but Atlantic also has 3 cup contenders to play against. |

Why? - Makita
Because the top teams' point totals and GP would have them as WC seeds in either Eastern Conference division, despite the fact that they have 3 doormats to pad their point totals against 5 times a year. Atlantic has doormats as well but also has top end contenders at the top, and that doesn't even include the "best team ever assembled in the cap era." |

Lawson Crouse almost a lock for Rocket Richard this season!
All ya gotta do is just count his career goal total, then double it and the kid has a chance! |

Yes but every division has a few teams to beat up on, and this one has five good teams. If only one of these teams were worse, the other four would be a lot better. |

Dont think it's that they have 5 good teams, it's more that they have 5 mediocre teams. 5 mediocre teams could be considered better than 3 good teams, depends on how you look at it. In the end I think the pacific is in the middle somewhere, not the best division, not the worst division. |

1) What 3? You have BOS and TB.
2) Metro is no different. Metro has to play WSH and PIT
I would argue 4 out of 5 of the worst teams in the east come from the Atlantic. DET, MON, BUF and OTT
You might say NYR are below MON and BUF by one point. This is correct but the NYR also have 2-3 games in hand.
The fact is the Metro teams are so high in points despite the fact you play your division up to 4 times says a lot. |

I don't think anyone wants to play Carolina.

Absolutely. But the top teams in that division have good inter-conference records as well. |

It's working out great. What team is going to do anything more than tread water when their .940 goalie goes down? |
