This core, this team save for a few new faces here and there is what we will live or die with.

I advise you don’t watch this team because you won’t like the next 5 years.

With no 1st it’s all about just make the PO’s. The season won’t be judged on how far the Leafs go but more so if good signs come from it. If more than that well enjoy the ride but tbh a cup is not realistic.

Next year is the year to expect big things.

Im sorry to break it to you, but just because the core is locked up does not mean that's it from here on out. Look at Pittsburgh ffs. How many tweaks did they make without tampering with the core before winning back to back cups?

Some different faces on the blueline, ones more suited to the style we play, a backup goalie... Maybe a 3C... The team is much better positioned for a playoff run. That doesn't mean the team is blown up.
