They did what they needed to do. Picked up another W.
Now a win against Pittsburgh will be a nice sendoff to the break.
Loved AV at the end of his presser lol.

Great game! The alphabet soup line was fire! Very nice game from Sanheim-Myers. Like the 80s music.

Press letting AV off way easy. Did he need more time to look over the play? Timeout instead of a challenge?

Pittsburgh has been incredible. Coach of the year front runner with all their injuries.

was mentioned FLyers might target Carter at the deadline, would ya? He has 5.272 and 3 years. I do think with prospects like Allison, Laberge and Raticliff being further away, due to injury or just seasoning that 3 years would be too long with Carter

If yes, what would it take? LA would have to retain 1/2 and the Flyers would have to move at least 2 mil. You would think LA would want a pick and a young prospect. I would be more inclined if I thought the Flyers were closer to being a contender but I also see that they are not as deep as I thought when it comes to legit prospects that can play top 6 minutes consistently. Carter would bring that and he brings a shooter mentality. I also think for this season and next Carter would raise his level of play.

As much as Myers and Sanheim are prone to mistakes let them play and work it out, it should pay dividend by the end of the season.

G looked a little more comfortable on the right side of the PP, I like how they have PP1 and 2 personnel wise

How far off is Rubtsov to getting a shot with the big club?

2 years too late, for me. If they were just one piece away, then maybe. Also, I don't really see a spot for him right now unless Patrick is never coming back and Frost will 100% be a winger.

Really don’t want any parts of him and that deal

I wonder what has caused the turnaround in Lehigh. I’m sure frost has helped but there has to be more to it. They aren’t just winning they are stifling teams looking at it from the outside

I'm pretty pleased with the first half of the season. Some things have gone well, and some are a little disappointing, but overall, this is a good team.

They just need a few breaks to be just a little better. It's so unfortunate that they're getting nothing out of Patrick and Morin and Rubstov -- we all know that not every first rounder is going to make it and Patrick and Morin have health issues. I'm not being critical of them for that.

Just saying that it's tough when you invest first-round picks and get basically no production. Harder -- not impossible -- to make the leap from good to great

1) Phantoms have gotten healthy, and the severely depleted depth they experienced, has been largely restored. 2) Several of the young players who had been struggling have been coming around of late. 3) A locker room issue has been resolved.

Last few games, he's been quite good. Really struggled for awhile after the latest shoulder injury. Needs to keep up the 200-ft. game and offensive push he's had the last few games. He hadn't scored a single goal since October before the one on Friday. Even his defensive game was off for awhile.

Dont think I'd be willing to pay LAs price and it's also unlikely they'd need to retain $ for all the teams that would be interested in Carter. That being said, he would be a great fit considering he can play both Center and Wing.

That's what we should be doing. Beating lesser teams. Strong effort every shift no matter the opponent. Once we get that, we battle for 3rd Metropolitan spot.

Just looking at what Carter brings and the fact that Patrick is out, we could use him. But the cost might be too high plus he has 3 years left on contract. Prospects, picks, ???? I say no thank you.

I’m sure you are not willing to go in depth about the locker room issue. Thanks for the info though. I will admit I was never a laberge fan. But I am seeing his name more and more on the scoresheet recently. How is he progressing sir

Bill I realize that Rubtsov still has less than 50 pro games on his resume. But I feel he is in the same boat as all of the other LV forwards with the exception of Frost. There is nobody with legit top six potential. Would you agree with this?

I like g back at center for the time being. Not a long term fix as I believe in the long run he’s better suited on the left side.

For carter his asking price and cap would be problematic. Not saying having him on the third line wouldn’t be intriguing. Cap wise makes no sense.

No thanks. He's having a nice season so far, but knowing the Flyers' luck, they'd get the Carter from last season.

Kapanen for Myers?
- mr.sir

Nope. Myers is too valuable for us. Only way he gets moved imo is as part of a deal for a young player with real star potential.

I might do Cam York for Kapanen but the Leafs would have to take back some sort of cap dump.

Probably not likely tho as Fletch seems to have a real hard on for US players.

Laberge started scoring a bit of late, which is his main value. But got injured again on Friday. Looked like wrist or hand.
