Just to keep this going, in the last three years Chevy has traded 2 first round picks, 2- 4th, 6th and 3 - 7th round picks.
I’m not sure of the averages but I’d say trading away 8 draft picks in 3 years doesn’t exactly go along with what you guys are saying.

Did he not trade one of those picks for your favourite player, Matt Hendricks?

If I recall correctly he was supposed to fix the room for Maurice.

I’m not saying the moves were good just pointing them out because you said he never trades picks because we are draft and develop focussed and clearly you were wrong. He trades picks all the time.

Exactly, you do need two teams to make a trade. I wonder how many phone calls Chevy is making on a regular basis. My guess is zero.

When Spezza got traded from Ottawa he had all the Canadian teams on his no trade list due to being annoyed by Canadian media. Nothing to do with Winnipeg. Kadri did the exact same thing based on the same reason. Again nothing to do with Winnipeg.

No one mentions that Justin Faulk had Anaheim on his no trade list while Winnipeg was not on it. You also have to remember that Phil Kessel had a no trade list to all Canadian markets except for Winnipeg. Explain those.

Justin is from St. Paul MN, and Kessel is buddy to Wheeler.

Most of these lists are completed by player agents. It’s a monkey see, monkey do league. When players get here, many het no movement clauses. Explain that! You would think if Winnipeg is the worst place in the league to play that no one would get a NMC when they sign with Winnipeg as they would want to play anywhere but here.

NMC gives the player a little bit of control over their career. They can buy a house, let kids get settled in daycare/school, get involved with charitable work. Furthermore they get some control over the next destination too.

I refuse to participate any longer as part of this online debauchery. I'll be back after the break.

Ouch! Well, Kane got his 1000th point, that's exciting!

This is the second back to back team to beat the Jets without much fight. The Jets look like they played 5 games in a row. Not much fight left in this team unfortuneatley,..... dropping games on supposed tired teams like this suggests there are big problems.

I agree - its time for a shakeup. Maurice, Roslovic or Laine? or more radical and unexpected - wheeler.
