What you don't think either of Armia or Frolik are good players? Frolik was very likely never staying anyway but this team misses Armia, he's a very good player, best 3rd line winger in the league, are 3rd line would maybe being producing like a 3rd line should if he was still on it though it's pretty tough for anyone to produce when they're stuck with Lowry. Adam Lowry was the one who should've been moved for cap space, not Armia.

Did i write they were not good players? No I did not. My point was simple,
People in here won’t be happy no matter what happens

I agree with this statement Ross. I'll also add that Jets are playing right now with an injury list that is about $16 MM of cap space. Once the Buff thing is settled one way or the other, as we hit the trade deadline you can buy an awful lot of talent for that much money . Let's see what this team looks like after Feb 24th before being a critic.

Let’s be honest, Chevelallseasonoff is doing nothing at the deadline. If it does not involve the waiver wire, he is standing pat!

Show me a cup winner who was built solely through the draft.

Chevy needs to identify the dead weight on this team and trade away Maurice's favorites that he plays too much.

So because Columbus did win the cup after their TDL trades no teams should make trades ever? lol

Wasting guys prime years cause we're worried we might miss out on a 5th round "diamond in the rough" draft pick would be really really dumb.

Wow jet fuel, your ability to Re write what someone said, exaggerate it to extremes and make huge assumptions is on another level. Dial it back

I absolutely agree with this statement. The Jets have also shown that they are incapable of drafting outside the first round. It’s astounding to know that in 2015, our excellent drafting department took Roslovic over Cirelli, Aho, Beauvillier and Konecny.

Also never mentioned is that the scouting department never changed when this team relocated from Atlanta and yet we have all these Fans on this site that ostracize the Atlanta way of building a team!

Like you say, fans leaving after the second period. That says it all.

Mortgage the future now so that we might make the playoffs, and in five years when Wheeler and the boys are gone, without youngsters to take their spot, we will be sucking wind - and there mat be talk of re-location.

Who's going to buy the tickets then? I don't want to see the team move, but continue giving us entertainment - don't have to win the Stanley Cup as long as we're competitive.

Two trains of thought here - we obviously don't agree, but I respect your opinion.

I don’t think anyone is saying trade away first rounders and prospects for rentals. What is being said is trade away assets for permanent solutions as opposed to trading for rentals. Don’t know where you are getting the idea of trading away firsts for rentals.

This isn’t a Jets thing, less than 30% of guys drafted in the 2nd round have careers, the percentage goes significantly down every round after. This is exactly why first round picks are gold!!! The blues and caps have won cups recently without!!! Trading their first round pick leading up to it.

Did 29 other teams also take worse players over the guys you mentioned. Or just the Jets?

Atlanta killed themselves with horrible trades!!! See Hossa, Kovalchuk and the ridiculous deadline trade for Tkachuk when they were going for it cause they thought or maybe their fans thought they were ready.

Ultimate, I’m honestly not sure you are actually a fan anymore? You seem to hate everyone and all things Jets. Where I am just really done with Maurice, Bitetto, Kulikov, Beaulieu, Sbisa, Dahlstrom, Bork and Letestu lol

This is why I can’t come around on Maurice, he practices Niku with Morrisey but then panics and puts out Kulikov there to start the game, horrible!!!
I’d rather watch Stanley crash and burn but hopefully learn something than Bitetto crash and burn every night cause he makes people laugh in the room.
Maurice says he is going to alternate harkins and Bork, even though Bork has done nothing to stay in the line up and harkins has done nothing to come out but here we are with back to back Bork games.

Maybe a 4-6 game losing streak would finally seal Maurice’s fate?

But you make it sound like this is easy? It takes two teams to make a trade and rebuilding teams who are looking for draft picks are not inclined to trade away young stars under team control

Again who is saying this team needs more young stars? They need some more effective bottom 6 forwards and a couple #3/4 dmen, shouldn't take selling the farm to accomplish that and no one is saying to do that. You're really exaggerating and twisting what some people are saying.

Yeah yeah try growing up a little.
No one is getting dominated more then our
"elite shutdown center" Adam Lowry, what a plug
he is, he can't keep up to scrawny Swedes, see the Hawks first goal for an example.. Lol

Don’t know why you and Ross would be upset with that list. The legend Kevin Chevelallseasonoff assembled that bunch.

Show some respect Jetsnation to your GM and appreciate the talent he brought to this team!

Exactly, you do need two teams to make a trade. I wonder how many phone calls Chevy is making on a regular basis. My guess is zero.

Key words, my guess
Over the years there have been many reports that leaked out of the Jets trying to acquire guys via trade or free agency where the player wouldn’t waive to come here or took less money to sign elsewhere.

He’s out for the rest of the game. Too bad Maurice chose Bourque over Harkins. This could have been his chance to show what he could do at centre.

Its okay Ross I get it, only your opinion is valid and it makes sense to just complain about how bad all the regular whipping boys are over and over but don't discuss trading late round picks to replace those whipping boy players cause trading 4th round picks is mortgaging the future
apparently, gotcha!

It’s not the like The Sun or Free Press did a fully story 5 or 6 years ago when Spezza turned down a trade here, or when Elliot Friedman says “I think on top of Calgary Winnipeg was also told Kadri wouldn’t accept a trade there”
That I can just go hey google
And poof they appear ready to cut and paste for you.
The internet is great and all but its not like it’s easy to just find these in print. Maybe I just pay attention more than you and you should believe me.

My thoughts exactly, or move him into the top 6 and have Copp center Perreault and Roslovic, I really don't get why he's dressing Bourque, he really brings nothing to the lineup, he's barely even killing penalties anymore.

Again, JetsD that’s exactly what I said right, lol
Don’t trade 4th round picks, their gold Jerry, Gold!!! Lol
Actually I agreed with ultimate the other day to take a chance on Namestnikov and trade a late pick for him.
But I guess you were off that day
