Makes zero sense based on hockey, so has to be something else

No James, LV is not one of the most talented teams in hockey - and neither is TO. They are both awful on the back end.

This seems like a pretty knee-jerk firing. Realize Vegas has it a rough patch recently, but still figure them to be in the mix in the West at the end. Gallant is a very good coach who appears not able to catch a break. His firing in FLA was not handled well, to put it kindly, and his dismissal today seems way premature.

He was trying to get you to respond. He throws that garbage into everything and attracts the flies for clicks.

The best teams in the league by roster are the likes of, Tampa, Was, St.Louis, Avs, Pits, ... Not Toronto

Speaking as a Kings fan, I think this is a great move by the Knights

Crazy if it's for anything other than some moral/ethical firing they just had to do.

People should look to Toronto as an example of how NOT to build a Stanley Cup championship team.

But what if (and thats a big if) they end up winning the cup?

People always look to the prior team who won and say "that's how you build a winner".

It would just be funny if that happened, that's all.

I highly doubt the Leafs win the cup, but there is a slim possibility. Much like many other teams.

How dare you challenge the great Tanner. Don't you know games are won on paper?

That would be the year everyone said it's a fluke or it would never happen again, they got lucky, etc.

Well, here is McCrimmon's first mistake as GM. It wasn't the coach who encouraged lazy play on the ice. It wasn't the coach that allowed all those first period goals recently. I don't understand firing a successful coach and replacing him with one who was recently fired because HIS team underperformed. Is the idea to have a coach who is experienced in coaching underperforming teams?

makes zero sense. the team is playing hard, disciplined hockey. he iced a very competitive team and he was fired for........?

the bar is pretty high for deboer to surpass what gallant has done
