I agree on greiss I think hes the better goalie
- Upstate_isles

Varlamov is capable of having good games the problem is you never know what you’ll get. Though you can’t keep playing a guy that’s 1-6 in his last seven starts.

I love how trotz is blowing smoke up Dal Colle’s ass. He made one good play and got burned about a half dozen times while coughing up the puck. The kid sucks. Please play Greiss on Tuesday.

I get not trashing your own players but I'm not seeing a lot of good with MDC. I always liked Griess. Just a shame he has had trouble being the 1A goalie.

I probably stuck up for the kid more than anyone else on here but like I said he made one nice defensive play almost turned it into a scoring chance. After that he malfunctioned a few scoring opportunities and coughed up the puck a couple of times which almost resulted in goals against. He was pretty much awful minus that one play I don’t get the accolades.

MDC cannot keep up with the play and he generates no offense. I wanted MDC to get a shot when he was playing well for Bridge. MDC has been given a shot and now it's time for someone else.

I thought mayfield had a really good game and if not for Greiss making some incredible saves we lose that game 4-1. I liked the effort for the most part but I also think they gave up a ton of chances to the canes. Hopefully they can beat the Rangers and thankfully get a break(and give us a break)and get their crap together.

They have to win Tuesday and come back a better team from the break.

Sounds like the ice is really bad

It was atrocious.

Basketball game the day before. When they have them back to back lke that and the hockey game is an early one the ice is usually way worse.

Condolences on Dougie. I was rooting for him in the Norris race.

Completely different team without him. It's rough. Feel bad for the guy because it really seemed like he had finally found the right fit ad a coach that trusted him.

guess we'll see what happens

You're going to get 10 days. They'll probably get blown out by the Canucks after not playing for a week and a half.

I think it would be a good thing to start infusing some youth into this line up if they continue to play like this. These guys seem to have gotten lazy and I’m getting the impression they may feel safe. Create some competition in the line up.

I wish they did this earlier like a couple weeks ago. Who knows maybe Bellows or even Wahlstrom can surprise for us and add something to the line up because we need some kind of spark. Bridgeport is a mess yet again and my thought process is it may even do these kids some good to get the hell away from Thompson and have a real coach. Can’t keep doing the same thing and expect different results. It’s not working.

Could not agree more Cpt. This roster has become stale whether some want to believe it or not. Winning one round last year cannot mask the problems.

I had my reservations a few weeks ago with this but I watch players like Dal Colle and Kuhnackl out there and think why not? Give them some top 6 time and see what they can do. If trotz wants to spread whatever talent he has through the line up this may allow him to do so in a more realistic way than throwing garbage on the first and second line. Have to give these kids a shot and I can’t think of a better time then when your NHL regulars look lazy and disinterested out there. Sit Bailey. Send a message. Teams are reaping the benefits of doing just this when their team lagged. Having a hard time with the loyalty dedicated to these vets who sorry to say suck balls.

No reason not to give Wahlstrom and Bellows a look. Trades do not seem an option for most teams yet so try internal options first. This current roster has been given more than a fair chance. Pretty much this same roster at least the top 6 portion has been given many years. The idea that players like Bailey and Eberle will be consistent playoff performers is funny. The Isles tried the keep the roster thing intact long enough. Time to try something different. It's not like Garth was making a bunch of changes to the roster and we need Lou and Barry to get things status quo.

It's a bit surprising that the Isles are still ranked #7.

6 of the top 12 teams in the NHL are in the Metro.

What a mess. One big juggernaut of a division beating the piss out of everybody else.

Yup, even the last place Devils have some high end talent, and can be dangerous.
