I'd add the Wings to your teams listed above. I think they prolonged their rebuild by continuing to make the playoffs through about the 2017 season...something like that.
- HawkintheD

Yes, add Detroit to that list, by the way the 2015/16 season was their last playoff team, so a year before the Hawks ended their playoff run.

While I like Quenneville, he wasn't making an impact on the Hawks so good for him to be sent down to develop more.

Lately the Hogs have been dressing career minor league forwards -- even having D-man Youds as a forward -- rather than prospects with potential in Soderlund and Hakkarainen.

Instead of a combination of Youds, Watson, Noel, Winquist, and Thompson, have Quenneville, Soderlund, and Hakkarainen playing. Watson, Noel, and Thompson can go back to Indy while Youds and Winquist can be released.

McLaughlin is the only Indy call-up who makes an impact. Doubt he ever makes it to the NHL but I like his compete level, speed, and skill to contribute to Hogs team depth.

- AEL_Fox

Q looks like another 4A player he was lighting it up down there don't see how he will develop more at Rockville needs to develop in Chitown.

If we were able to shave half a million on any of these options I would be good with any, but would prefer option A.

WTC - make sure you don't watch any highlights today of what went on last night between Mathew Tkachuk and Zach Kassian.

Tkachuk taking runs all over the ice at Kassian and Kassian punching Tkachuk in the head 10 times.

It's barbaric and will offend so many people on here. Just don't watch any of it, its not hockey. The NHL game needs more ballerinas like Nylander not these 2 brutes.

Bettman needs to step in and suspend these them forever. He knows there is no entertanment value to what they were doing. Just don't watch, it will hurt your eyes.

- RickJ

Yeah I just saw it,I got a kick out of it really because I like Matthew Tkachuk,But you know what he probably had it coming to him and Zack KASSIAN is a tough guy they can play the game and it’s just the way it materializes. I like both of those guys I would take either of those guys on my team. And no I don’t mean that is the main ingredient they would just be a nice complement. But with that being said I said it before that I would trade little kitty cat in a heartbeat for any one of Kieth Tkachuk’s sons. Both of those guys are going to be hard nose big players like they’re dad and probably have a lot of 30 goal seasons.
Not saying Debrincat is not a good player, He scored 41 goals last year so the league adjusted to him this year and with the lack of protection on his line getting him more space and more room to hone his craft, he will be lucky if he scores 20 goals this year.
I like that Calgary Edmonton rivalry, fun to watch, we have nothing like that anymore thanks to the Disney on ice , Stan bowman created the last two years.
I never wanna wish bad because I want my team to make the playoffs but I have to admit I was hoping they lose last night lose the next three, get the fan base in the media really pissed off going into the All-Star break where Rocky and John finally would have to make a change or at least come out upfront and say what the hell is going on.

True, but he was also 30 years old when he became a Blackhawk. By the way, also my favorite Hawk, no Hossa, no cups.

You could say that about any of the core back then.

Need to give the guy at least half a season in the NHL he can't be a bigger stiff than Hayden was and much more highly drafted.

He can and is just as much of a stiff as Hayden. Quennville isn't even a good AHL player.

Definitely agree with this perspective. Upon drafting Dach in June, the Hawks amped up their potential for a solid top 3 down the middle.

While it's still too early to tell, I do like the trajectory so far with how Dach and Strome are progressing. Toews isn't substantially degrading despite the slow start and is in fact still an impact player.

By the end of Toews' career, he could be an oustanding 3C with Dach and Strome holding the top 6 center spots.

As for the 4C role, Kampf does a decent job today yet there are options in the pipeline like Hakkarainen, Barratt, and even Kurashev with the latter two having middle 6 skill so one could eventually replace Toews.

- AEL_Fox

Still not sold on Strome as a center. Especially defensively. His lack of speed is a liability in his own zone. He may be better suited to play wing.

Toews, Kane, Seabs, Keith, Saad and Crow were way younger than 30 when they joined the Hawks.

It won’t take you that long to see, you don’t even need a cup, especially if the Hawks lose all their games up until January 21 when Joel comes back to the united center, Not only do they booed the poop out of Colliton before every game. When Joel is brought back for his, welcome back video, the fans will bring the roof down, give him one hell of a standing ovation, probably chant Q , All well deserved. And at the same time rubbing the subliminal message of dog poop Right in Stan Bowman and Jeremy Collitons face.

Great point - I go to 2 games a year from PEI Canada so the pre game booing is not something I see

Good luck with that fantasy. The teams in the east are far better than the Florida and they are also a bubble team. They spent what 11 mil on a goalie per year? Ouch and he’s not even playing well.

I'd like to wager that Keith and his wife were laughing their asses off watching all of what son Matthew was up to last night including the knuckle sandwiches Kassian was trying to feed him. That was a very entertaining game all round compared with the what the Ducks and Hawks offered up.

But you would welcome either or both of these guys on the Hawks? Say it isn't so, they might drop their gloves and offend all the hockey purists around town.

If Braboski gets it together Panthers aren’t that far off
Maybe not this season but compared to the Hawks
I’d trade lineup- coach & management any day

I don’t know what to say about that, if the Blackhawks won three Stanley cups playing like the Broad Street bullies then some would be screaming for that style of hockey. What ever flavor Kool Aid Uncle John pours in the pre game bull crap in the atrium , some drink, not all, but some.
All I know is for the last three years it was the same old bullpoop where everybody’s going on a wing and a prayer with some of these kids in Rockford and other places. Not one of them will ever make an impact. I said the other day most of them would not even sniff another teams NHL roster , I saw this kid Beaudin The other day, I didn’t know who he was, all I asked someone standing near me and pointed to the kid, my first question was looking at him, did this kid graduate eighth grade yet that’s how small he looked Rick and they expect this kid to step in to the National Hockey League next year?.Now some want to unload current players at the deadline for more pics and prospects. Fine. But I don’t want Stan Bowman making the decisions any longer. That’s just where I stand on it. I’ll be at the game January 21st when they bring the house down for Q and the boy wonder gets booed even more. I kind of feel bad for him but Stan Bowman put him in that position. He should’ve left him at Rockford to get more experience at least another two or three years.

On to Zack Kassian, I agree with him if you’re going to play that style sooner or later you’re going to get called out, be man enough to answer the bell. Don’t be a c..., Which I think Zack Kassian in hockey terms referred to him as. By all means nothing wrong with playing hard and Chippy . I am sure that daddy is going to have a talk with Matthew and tell him the same.
And the only bell that is answered around here
Is One that has the word “arina”attached to the end of it.
