i no longer care about the composition of the NHL roster or who gets what ice time. this season is over. so what's the difference between ineffective veterans or ineffective rookies when it comes to the NHL?

the point is that neither Poehling nor Kotkaniemi are confident, productive players at this level and the emphasis should be on their development, not having them plug holes in an NHL lineup because the organization has no depth. Laval finally has an opportunity to do something and that could be a great experience for those guys and an opportunity for them to develop their pro game and gain some confidence. how great is Ryan Poehling going to feel about himself after posting 2 points 50 NHL games this year?

Don't know how long he can ride on that hat trick.

It's just that you complain a lot about weal and weise. Send the kids to Laval and you will get more of this.

And it's hard to say if they would be better off in the ahl. The NHL is the best league in the world.

It's a process. It's not just about getting points.

I'm starting to get the feeling that this franchise would be ran better by the group in here, than the group that's getting paid to do it..

i complain about everything. but specific to Weal and Weise, i complained about them when this season still had a flicker of optimism and it was a joke that this team was forced to rely on them the way they have. and again, i don't care how much we see of Weise and Weal. they can bring Tomas Plekanec and Mathieu Darche out of retirement for all i care. that ship has sailed.

Poehling is in a different scenario. i don't see the point of having a first round pick playing 4th line minutes on a terrible team but whatever, he's playing on the 4th line so he cannot be expected to produce, you're right. Kotkaniemi is a different story. he's a mess.

Habs had 2 scouts at the Dallas/LA game last night.... I said Tatar to Dallas yesterday!

And the Baertschi trade was apparently squashed because of Vancouver's unwillingness to take Weise in the deal
