Hall is on par for 15 goals this year if he stays healthy |

Can’t see NJ getting that kind of return for a rental. Just don’t see teams that desperate but you never know. There always seems to be one GM that is willing to mortgage the future for one final shot before they get fired. Leave the team in ashes and let the new guy clean up his mess.
Sharks fans must be relieved to be out of cap space right now. |

Hall is overrated and 'almost' has the injury proneness of Beau Bennett.
Avoid and save assets and possible cap money.
His next contract will be one that the team regrets.

* I have talked to no less than 19 teams...
Great. Who cares? Irrelevant.
* There are at least 12 teams who have talked to NJ about this.....
* There are 7 teams who appear the most serious at this point...
* Of those 7 teams I am hearing 3 have talked about an extension..
* I would venture that at least 5 teams have talked extension...
You hear that 3 have talked extension. From your reputable sources. But then speculate that 5 have. So do you not trust your sources, venture into speculation to fill space because you needed 10 things to make your list, or are you completely full of poop? |

Why would Hall sign an extension, forego UFA, and commit to a team and an organization he has not yet played for. If he likes it, he can always sign there in the off-season. - Aetherial
He wouldn’t. Realistically the only thing you can do is get a conditional pick if he resigns where you trade him. |

Shero and devils are the joke of the league...no wonder he doesn't want to sign there long term...I called it when he got traded...Mickey mouse organization continues...sit the player then don't trade him...now what?? Tell him to play but for the love of god dont get hurt like last year...long time before the trade deadline... Shero is getting taken to woodshed it seems with offers fitting of an ageing winger approaching 30...now Larsson plays 20 mins a night on pk and makes $4 million a year and his team looking at playoffs...hmm let's revisit who won that trade again??? |

Larsson a) has missed two thirds of the season because of yet another injury, b) has one point this season, c) is fifth among oilers D in pk minutes per game. And the Oilers are poised to make the playoffs just like they were at this time last season.
Devils are indeed a joke of the league. It’s gotten bad enough that they’re being called the eastern conference oilers. |

I think the return will have a conditional pick attached to it regarding an extension. For me, he’s worth:
First round pick
Bottom pair D - partially to make cap work.
B+ to A- prospect.
Conditional first round pick if he extends. Otherwise no pick is exchanged. Similar to the Duchene deal last year. |

That makes sense. Obviously if you get a better defender you should get a worse or no prospect etc. meaning it’s obviously fluid. But right now that’s what it would likely take to get it done. More people interested you might get more. Less people an$ closer to the deadline you take what you can get. |

Sounds more like you are getting whatever Arizona says u are getting...sounds like Arizona might be switching gears and going after someone else soon if it drags on...b prospect and late first if you r lucky... |

I think a first round pick and a good prospect would honestly be enough.
IE Connor Timmins and a first from the Avs.
Or Soderstrom from AZ. Plus a first.
NJ can help themselves out a bunch and take some salary back too.
If these teams don’t want to part with a promising prospect then fine BUT they’d have to add in a second round pick as well.
I’m not really sure why Shero thought that NJ was going to be competitive this season. They have long term rebuild written all over them. And have for many seasons. |
