Carol Schram: Canucks move on to Vegas after loss in SJ — and Kes & Juice have a Podcast After dropping a 4-2 decision in San Jose on Saturday night, the Vancouver Canucks will face a tough test as they try to collect two road points on Sunday against the Vegas Golden Knights. Also, Canucks legends Kevin Bieksa and Ryan Kesler have launched a podcast that offers an unfiltered look at their lives and their thoughts on hockey.

TBH I thought the podcast of Bieksa Kesler was mind numbing. I listened to the first 15 minutes and found out Kes's big frozen Xmas tree was a pain in the ass. They both think that Nate McKinnon is a very good hockey player and is underpaid (mind blowing).

Kes also thought he gave a slightly below average discount to the Canucks.

I could not go any further. It was like someone telling me the sky is blue.

CLICK.

As far as Sven I have a drop off point of retaining money where I say not a good deal.

Canucks can buy him out in the summer and save 1.6 mil and pay 800k the following year.

I do not want to take back a Spooner like contract. Sven is helping the Comets so he should shut up and play. He is being overpaid by 3 mil a year so when I hear players like him Whine it gets the blood boiling.

I think it makes sense if they bring back a player who is a UFA at the end of the year. Basically avoid having to buy him out next year.

All in favor of cap space . Spooner deal did not offer up cap space.

Kuzma just pointed out Flyers are down 4 forwards. See if they are interested .

Getting Sven off the books and Ferland LTIR gives Canucks 7 mil for a trade

I am not sure Kuzma has insight from Jim but he just made his second Flyers reference .

F’s are in a funk & not much scoring from D. Moving the puck ok but we can be better & definitely more accurate. Overall it comes down to consistency & high energy for 60mins. Green always wants to be hard to play against so pressure & high tempo is just that.

#Canucks Hughes logged a career-high 27:00 vs SJS. Played 10:19 of third period. Has established new career-highs in 2 of last 3 games and has been 24+ mins in 4 of 6 with Edler out. Oh, and he’s a 20-year-old rookie

Jordie Benn here, why did the Canucks even bother signing me.

Thanks Carol, going to be tough to beat the Knights. I expect another low scoring game, 1 goal might be enough to win it.

I think the Nucks are probably happy to get back on the ice again today after that poor showing last night. If they don't come out of the gate flying, it's time for some #metoo abuse on the bench from TG.

It’s got to come from the players. The so called leaders, the guys who are there to show the kids how to be a pro.

Roussel, Miller, Beagle are the most consistent players they have.

In the few games I’ve seen recently, Beagle has not looked good. He’s not a matchup guy now, he’s a sheltered minutes guy.

Beagle and Schaller have been thoroughly disappointing. They aren't match up guys anymore and they aren't scoring at all. Even by their standards they are on pace for their worst seasons in years.

I would trade them away and have a fun rotation of the next guys to see who can take the role and run.

Waiting on Motte to get back, his pace is needed. Trade Schaller if we can. If Sutter was healthier Beagle would be on my block as well.

They need to chip in on a more regular basis. The 4th line should chip in with a goal every 4th game. Right now it's more like 1 in every 8th game.

I hope you're right Carol and Sven is being waived today to help complete a trade.

I respect that JB always seems to be doing his best to move on from dudes like Gagner, Biega and Sven and do right by them.
