It was definitely a penalty dont get me wrong, but come on, a 5 minute game misconduct?! I could see if the head was point of contact or it was a hit into the boards, but just for interference on a late hit where the shoulder was the main point of contact is absurd.

Im not making it up, the rulebook allows for a 5 min major for Interference.
if the player would have gotten up and skated off I dont think he gets a game misconduct.
