Half a season and it's all over. Except for out of playoff teams like Tampa. They are in FOR SURE. Guaranteed lock.

I'll admit it if i was wrong.

But playing mattews and nylander 14 minutes and hyman +20 seems like the key to success.

Keefe just might be a genius.

Long season to go.

But the plan to play andersen 75 games does seem flawless.

Pretty sure Hyman played more because his line was, way better than Matthews last night, and he plays on the PK. Generally Keefe has been playing Matthews more than Babcock did. Matthews career high ice time has been under Keefe. But his line was not good last night. Also Hyman's line was going out against McDavid which is kind of important.

I think this important. Keefe is playing his hot hands instead of sticking to a particular rotation.

The Leafs could win the Cup and members of this fanbase would be whining about how they won in spite of coaching and GM decisions - that the Cup win was tainted somehow.

It was interesting how Keefe outcoached Tippett. Oilers were trying to avoid playing McDavid's line against Tavares line and ended up giving McDavid less ice time than some of the grunts. As you correctly pointed out, Matthews' line did not merit more ice time, Kerfoot and Mikheyev did.
