Even if it's not the Yotes, you'd have to think a deal gets done before Wednesdays home game. Tough to see Hall travel back to NJ and sitting in the press box knowing he's done playing games for the Devils.

Yeah, can't have this trade dangling over the fan base for too long. Fatigue of this season already setting in and it would be nice to just watch the young players develop the rest of the season.

I wonder if the talks involve Hall's agent taking to teams about extensions and what they could offer him, and if that will play a role in what Shero will ask from teams. Or maybe that's not a thing and is tampering or not allowed during the season..

The only thing that worries me is he’s been pulled out of 2 games in a row now and hasn’t been moved. You’d have to think if there was a really good offer on the table this would be a done deal, and now with him being a healthy scratch two games in a row you’re kind of past the point of no return, he has to be moved soon.

I think that if a team gives permission for a team to talk extension while working out a trade it’s allowed. Obviously the just can’t put pen to paper until the trade happens. If Hall signs an extension immediately after he is traded I guess we will have our answer.

Both were considered A tier prospects, but Borgstrom is now 22 and seems to have taken a step back this year, not playing as well in the AHL as you'd want/expect at this point, so i dont think hes considered A tier anymore. Hepo is still only 20 and put up 46 points in 50 games last year in the Liiga but has struggled so far this year in his transition to the NA pro game with only has 7 assists in 20 games in the AHL. Both guys could maybe be 60 point nhl players, but thats where i see their ceilings. Also neither are a D prospect. I wouldnt be happy with this

Who knows what’s really going on? I mean it’s weird but if whatever they think is close doesn’t happen then they’ll move on. Awkward maybe but what can you do?

If Hall is considering an extension then that will take some time to negotiate; although personally I doubt that’s what it is.
