I feel Colorado has more top end talent to trade for Hall then Arizona. If I'm Sakic why not trade a Byram, Helleson and 1st for Hall. It would make you the team to beat in the west. Plus with all the talent on the team already Cup Favorite!!! Might be a lot to ask for but they are getting a former Hart Trophy winner and I do feel Hall will excel in Colorado to up his contract situation in July unless they re-sign him before.

Ray must at least get a top tier defenseman prospect, 2nd tier prospect, and a 1st. Hopefully this doesn't drag out.

I agree we must get a very good D prospect, but theres no way Sakic is trading Byram for Hall, especially without an extension in place. If we make a trade with the Avs we're likely getting one of Timmins/Helleson, either a forward prospect or roster player like a Kaut or Jost, and a pick. Either way no matter who we trade with we need to get atleast a B+ or A defenseman prospect back as the centerpiece
