Tonight Jake made the pass to G for the Flyers only goal, but it seems like all season long Jake has been a turnover machine. It seems like Jake doesn't try to make any high percentage passes? Jake forces too many impossible/ "Hope" passes. Jake has 6 goals and 16 assists in 31 games this year. That's poor stats for what he's getting paid. Rant over......

If only JVR could become a goal scoring threat again. For 7 mill he is not an asset at all. Seems like HEX signed him to make it look like he did something in his slow 12 year rebuild plan.

L4 played surprisingly well. Pretty fearless.

Frost and Hayes lines... not so much.

Last year he scored 27 goals in 66 games.

Not sure what this year has to do with Hexy.

Just watched an old 1991 Coach's Corner where Cherry was ranting about Quebec not trading Lindros and having him back in juniors. Said about Quebec:

"The French don't wanna go there, the English don't wanna go there, all that's left is the Swedes."

Just a bit of foreshadowing.

I completely agree. It always seems that Jake's favorite place to go is INTO traffic! That's why he's useless in the shootout -- NO TRAFFIC!!

blah blah blah. He didn't say anything wrong then, and he didn't say anything wrong this time.

Not a bad effort last night at all. Just lacked finish. Understandable with two of your top forwards out.

I've never seen anyone skate like Mackinnon. Unbelievable how fast he is.

That was my read. Can't just lose your two best finishers and expect not to feel it. Get 2 points in minny.

blah blah blah I don't care.

Hopefully he'll quote my post with the words changed to make it in to a lame 3rd grade level humorous joke.

McDavid. They can make any play at top speed too.

Pretty good effort, actually thought Frost played well just no support. Thought as a whole they traded chances with the Avs, have to finish. With new lineup good effort but now it needs to be better in the next 2 games . First game a little of a break but step up.

Really missed Myers size and speed. Hagg and ghost is a challenged combo

Flyers have been vulnerable to teams with high end speed this year, but a lot of teams are!

I liked that they never gave up. Also think Couts was a beast again last night. A little disappointed not to get to watch Makar play. Kase wasn’t bad at all, and actually Chris Stewart had an ok game as well. Hopefully JvR goes on a scoring streak soon, he’s capable of it. With Oskars and TK out now would be a perfect time.

I didn’t see the game but I’m encouraged by the responses even in a loss. Their effort has never come into question this year

This is the biggest thing I've taken away from this year compared to years past with Hak, we give a solid effort each and every night. The announcers on NBC also mentioned the Flyers bench several times, being very vocal, being loud and vocal on the bench. And also saying several times that, "This Flyers team believes they are still in this game and in every game, that they can come back", etc etc. Not in those exact words, but it's very refreshing to hear after the last several years we have seen countless games seem like they came with no fire or energy.

The Avs play with such speed and skill our entire team looked like muckers last night. We can only hope our highest skill players return as soon as possible and that includes nopa.

The first time I saw him live was at the Belfry hockey camp a few years ago. He trained with top NHL players including G, P.Kane, Tavares,, Matthews Crosby and more. It was like MacKinnon was on a level all by himself. He has huge thighs that can just explode from a stand still position in 1 stride. Very impressive.

It's incredible. He just looks like he's playing a game at a different speed from every other player on the ice.
