The lack of depth like Frost, Farabee, and Myers?

No team has an infinite pool, but those were 3 players capable of playing the top top-6F/top-4D that they have called up since the season began. That's much better than most team can do. Do you expect them to have an NHL 40-goal scoring playing the AHL to call up?

And what do you mean if/when? They already have Raffl out and Patrick has missed the entire season thus far. Laughton just recently returned, Pitlick missed all of camp, Morin's done for the season, and Rubstov isn't an option right now since he's out. Note that Bill also showed what other AHL injuries they've had to deal with.

Crazy thing is they still have JVR to move up and take Konecny's place at 5 on 5. Stewart will probably get some games unless they call Twarynski up again. Just keep getting points.

Flyers don't play again until Wednesday. Have to assume Konecny will be good to go.

Injuries happen to every team. There aren't any teams who adequately replace a player like Konecny due to an injury. What if Boston loses Marchand or Pasternak?

Tkachuk's actions was definitely a cheap shot but it did not warrant a match penalty in my opinion. Laughton deliberately skated right to Tkachuk in a effort to bait him. That does not excuse Tkachuk but the cross check was not a serious blow and jumping him amounts to roughing.

Whether or not Konecny travels with the team should say it all. Isn’t it hard to simply travel with a concussion, especially by plane?

Tkachuk also knew that Laughton wasn't going to fight due to the finger injury that he is still rehabbing. Maybe not a match penalty but a punk move by Tkachuk.

They will drop the gloves in two weeks and all will be settled.

Entertaining game. Haven't had one like that for awhile.

Yeah, it was a Richard move but not worthy of a suspension. But Bill is right that the max. CBA fine is a joke. It's like me getting fined $30.

Yeah, I personally like it when the teams get a hate on for each other. Don't want anyone hurt but it's good to see the passion.

His base salary is $925K. He got fined less than $2500, which is less than 0.3% of his salary.. So okay, not $30, but still not anything that's going to cause me more than a slight annoyance.

I suspect Tkachuk is going to have a lot of those kinds of fights.

Time for Nolan Patrick to hike up his panties, pop a Tylenol, and get back to playing.

Seriously though now would be a good time to return.

I just hope it's some time on the new year. He must be sp frustrated. Does he travel with the team or just stay back and skate?

Never ideal but would also have the injury bug now than at the end of the season. Weren’t the flyers pretty healthy last year..... well minus goaltending. Or was it the year before. Violent sport. It happens.

Well remember, Zac Rinaldo once won a game against the Penguins by getting a 5 minute major and game misconduct.

The kid is going to be a premier player in the league in short time. Yea, I'll take him.
