Anthony Travalgia: In first game back, John Moore there to defend David Pastrnak After shoulder surgery kept John Moore out of the lineup since Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final, Moore returned to the lineup Thursday, dropping the gloves with Zack Smith after a high hit on David Pastrnak.

Good game.

And great response by Moore. I hope he is OK.

I also liked that Smith laid off as soon as he saw Moore down. Good hockey all around.

Been debating over on our board for most of the morning, as others arguing the hit was a good hit so the challenge by Moore was bush-league. I disagree. I will not argue the hit. It was not a head shot, but did leave skates. I will say although not predatory, slightly over the line. But, a hit that gets uncalled many times a game. But, whether dirty or not, from Moore's perspective he did not like seeing his teammate "run" and he stepped up.
I like that response. It is why Boston is always a contender.
An entertaining game. A good response by Moore, and good restraint by Smith once he saw Moore in distress. I liked the whole sequence all-around.

Good luck fellas! Keep on beating those Leafs and Habs, lol!!! (Especially da Habs!!!)

Really need to stop the hockey culture of fighting guys after clean hits. Dirty play? Fine, beat the crap out of him. But challenging a guy after a hard clean check is moronic.

Did you catch that the Blackhawk’s 3rd goal was 17 seconds into the 3rd period?

Good agruement Scot.

Now, ask 100 people if that was a "clean" hit.

99% bruins say no.
99% Hawks say yes.

Moore doesn't have time for a meeting and voting session.

He saw a hit he didn't like. Against one of their best players.

he did the right thing.

Actually I don't think it was a Bad Hit at all, Hard Clean Hit. however F U if your looking to finish a hard hit against the League's top scorer, then the opposing Team should go after the Skill of that Team. I've always liked the Hawks (except for that one year) BUT if a guy like Wagner absolutely smokes Patty Kane ? are you okay with that and there is no problem, because I'm not.

Cheers Boys!

This has been around forever.... Doesnt matter if the play is clean or dirty. The hit wasn't terrible but he did launch and finish high. It is a 4th liner taking a run at the bruins leading scorer.

Why do you think people to this day still know who Dave Semenko is? He scored a career 153 points but was there any time anyone even got close to Wayne.

them tying that game up was huge, sure they lost in OT, but they had no business being in OT in the first place. They gotta stop waiting for the 3rd to step it up.
