Being able to enter the zone is important and a good trait to have but we are doing absolutely nothing after entering the zone.

Bastian blocked 3 shots in one shift recently..
- MartysBetter88

Bastian should be up here instead of Hayden. Hayden does literally nothing better than Bastian.
I also find it curious how many more chances Hayden has gotten, when compared to Quenneville whom they seemed to have bailed on pretty quickly. Granted Q didn’t really impress, but he didn’t get a ton of opportunities in the NHL, and yet Shero was willing to give a 1-way contract to Hayden (basically a lesser version of Q) for reasons unknown.

My biggest complaint with Hall this season has been the turnovers. He’s been mostly good, and you’d expect some of his shots to start finding the back of the net pretty soon, but the turnovers have been glaring.

The turnovers have been bad and affected some games, and I do think Hall has been a more careless with the puck and just generally sloppier.

But that said, a lot of them look to me like the other team knows the passes that are going to be made and just cut them off. If the opponent is just waiting for that drop pass as the Devils try to enter the zone, or seeing how the team is just cycling the puck around the edge on the pp, I think that’s more on the coaches and their lazy, repetitive game plan.

RE: Chelios dishing on Babcock.......Meh, not too concerning to me. I’ve encountered more abusive bosses in corporate America.

He STILL looks better than Haynes though, then again so does Robbie Ftorek

Yeah it’s not horrific stuff but why bother with him. I’d forget Babcock and go with another veteran NHL coach.

Vets saying they barely wanted to show up to the rink. Would say he's pretty bad to play for.
