Viktor Arvidsson was injured on a filthy cross-check from Robert Bertuzzo. Arvidsson is out for at least four weeks… Betuzzo was suspended for four games… yeah, that’s fair.

this one might go down as the biggest miss by DOPS. that was as clear cut an attempt to injure as I've EVER seen, on a defenseless player, by a repeat offender.....that actually resulted in a serious injury.

Bortuzzo should have been gone for AT LEAST 10 games

Bortuzzo's hit on Fiala in 2017 was absolutely clean!

Bortuzzo's first cross check on Arvidsson was embellishment on Arvidsson's part!

Bortuzzo looked at the ref and was incredulous that he was getting called for cross checking. Then he probably figured "Well......if I'm going to get a cross-checking penalty.....I might as well REALLY cross check him!

You can call Bortuzzo a "third rate defenseman" but he's just as important in the Blues locker room as Arvidsson is in the Preds locker room!

No Whining! Next man up!!!!

Oh......by the way!!!

Bortuzzo sucks, that was a crap play by a crap player. He should have gotten 10, love when a team wins and then every guy is worth a little more haha.

If Bortuzzo had gotten 10 games, it still would have been the same mindset.....next man up!

Arvidsson's a little pest! What do you do with pests? You smash 'em! (Or cross check 'em!) Now he will think twice about coming to the paint again, especially when Bortuzzo is there!

Looks like the sheep have their narrative: embellishment. The entire hockey world says otherwise, but Blues fans are what they are.

They seem done. Something's off. No fire. Every play looks painful, like they have to work so hard to just get normal things right.

Oh well, the Leafs are doing better. See Poile, sometimes having the stones to make a move can pay off. Oh yeah, and how's the Turris deal working out? Our GM is not divine.

The way Dallas has been playing, I'd have to agree. Strange times.

Such a whiner.

I do think Bortuzzo should have received 20 games, which would be more than Arvidsson is predicted to miss--bc it was a terrible move and he's a repeat.

I'm a Blues fan. Now when the Preds do this you become such a homer.

I hope the Blues decide to play tonight, it'd be satisfying for them to beat the football town, need to give fans cheat sheets on how to cheer at a hockey game of Nashville.

Iyeah given dops' history what were you expecting? I mean Bertuzzi played after what he did and he should have literally been jailed--he paralyzed a player btw. Not that you all might know about it.

ummmm, Bertuzzi was suspended for like 1 and a half seasons or something like that, and Moore wasn't paralyzed.......maybe you should learn about that incident before using it as an example......especially when using it to question other peoples knowledge

After Bertuzzo looked at the ref and knew that he was going to get penalized, he purposely and with deliberate intent, turned back and cross-checked Arvidsson in one of the most exposed areas a player has.
Whether or not there was any prior history, there was definite reason for suspension. Since he did this with intent and his history of cross-checking players in that location of the body, he should have to miss as many games as the injured player plus the 4 games given.
I am sure that many are bemoaning Kerfoot's suspension also. The only way to remove those types of hits / plays is to severely punish the offenders. No matter their skill, who they play for or their team's position in the standings.

Yes, and congratulations to St. Louis for winning the cup. Good to see that it doesn't matter what franchise wins the cup, it always turns some of the fans into obnoxious insufferable d-bags. I don't care what team your a fan of, or how much you hate a particular team, gleefully squealing like a school girl over a player being injured, for playing the game the way you're supposed too, by a dirtball player whose intentionally trying to injure another player, is a total scum-ball move. Hey, Blueman, for as much as you enjoy inventing reasons to hate on Preds fans, maybe you guys should start clearing the weeds out of your own garden first. And here I thought St. Louis was supposed to be the 'classy' fan-base. This guy is making you all look like drooling idiots.

Now, this is more like what I want to see from the Preds. They really wanted this game and you could tell it, and it's one they deserved to win, and I don't feel I've been able to say that too often this season. I've been asking the team to give us some reasons to feel optimistic, and these last couple of games they've finally done that. Let's see what team shows up against Vegas on Wednesday.
