How will we survive missing out on the Blake Coleman sweepstakes ?????
Stay the course, eyes on the prize. Second line winger. Honestly I think we are all set on defense unless the perfect deal comes to fruition. I would not overextend myself in that area. We have one glaring need, that’s 2RW. Make it happen wienerhead. Now. |

Prices are up this year
Coleman is good, would've been happy to get him, but not for Studnicka and a 1st. I realise he's on a great contract but that's quite a haul. |

We all hate overpaying, but this core's window is closing quite quickly so at what time do you bite the bullet and go for it this year? Z, Krejci Bergy and Rask are all on the north side of 30. Even Rat is 31 years old. The team is going to look a lot different in 2 to 3 years time |

Which makes last year so much harder. The red sea parted and they still couldnt bring home the cup. Something tells me every other top team wont be losing in the first round this year. |

Prospect Tyler Madden, 2020 2nd round pick, Schaller, and a conditional 4th round pick in 2022 for Toffoli. Conditional is if he re-signs with Vancouver.
Kind of a lot for Toffoli IMO ... |

a couple of canuck fan buddies of mine not happy about losing Madden for a pure rental ...Schaller has not been good for Vancouver and a 2nd...
Might be some cap issues for nucks trying to resign him..seems kinda dumb to give up a good prospect on a team that probably wont go very far but who knows
not sure who the Bruins equivalent would be...perhaps Stud...

Yeah, (frank) that !!
Exactly the kind of trade I don’t want Sweeney making.
Eyes on the prize. Kreider. Brenden Dillon would be nice too if the price is right. |

looks like Canucks pulled the trigger as Boeser will be reevaluated in 3 weeks due to rib cartilage fracture...Ferland gone for the year with concussion issues..
Dunno..not clear why Canucks would do this if Boeser is gone...i can see if he is around as the Canucks top 6 is pretty decent with Boeser in and adding TT...hmm |

Yeah IF Madden is Studnicka equivalent then fk that indeed. I kinda doubt it as he's listed at 5 11 and 150 lbs(!). Who knows tho, if he turns into an NHL scorer it could be a big loss. Bar that it's not a steep price. Anyone who gets in has a shot in the West so good for them going for it.
A little surprised, I thought TT was likely going to be our prize and I would've been happy with him at the right price. Impact players running short, time running short, prices steep. Donnie is up against it and there's no way in hell he can't acquire a real upgrade. |

I think with Miller gone it would be worthwhile to toughen up the backend. Lauzon has helped but I think it's a lot to ask for him to get big minutes in the playoffs |

Oh he'd be a nice add, never hurts to be deep and tough on d in the playoffs. I think we should spend everything we're willing to spend and maybe then some on the forward tho. If we get a moderate upgrade there and there's something left, yeah go for it. |

He would have been a perfect bolster to the blueline. Big, physical. Thick 😉

I’m all in on Kreider. Go big or go home.
Missed the boat on Dillon. Would have been the perfect addition on the back end.
Prices gonna get higher as supply dwindles. Don’t be left standing with your pecker in your hand Donny ... |

Lauzon, Moore, Clifton, Kampfer, possibly even Miller is pretty good depth. A luxury we can't afford or really need. Not broken up over either but I'd rather have Coleman on this team by a country mile over Dillon. Wouldn't pay the price for either tho. |

Ok, so the prospect of acquiring Palmieri from the Devils is growing on me. Right shot, right winger, great 2-way game, signed through next season ...
Although Kreider is the better player IMO, Palmieri might be the better fit. Kreider is a left shot, plays primarily left wing (although can play both wings), and will command a yuge salary next year all but guaranteeing Krug would be a goner.
Gonna be an interesting few days coming up here.... |

The reality is that this team doesn’t seem to miss a beat when Heinen is out of the lineup. I hear ya, but if other teams value him as ‘the roster player they want back in a trade’ ... Hell, I’ll drive him to the airport myself. Ditto for Bjork, Kuhlman, Nordstrom, Moore, etc. |
