I know I am one blog late, but I kinda wanna see Bjugstad at wing on the powerplay. As I brought up previously he had his best career numbers while in Florida on Wing. I would love to see him and Kahun get a chance in the top 6.

They don’t need to change the PP. PP’s go soft from time to time. It happens to everyone.

Wishing OM nothing but the best. Seabrook contract is a killer. Every team seems to have one that they would like to “do over”. Stat about the recent losing streak to the Blackhawks is puzzling. Need the 2 points tonight. Look for Sid to have a big game.

Thin blog; it seems like this is the same story we heard about Olli all year last year (save for the lack of a mention of how JJ was making him, and tensions in the Middle East and global aspirations for a cleaner planet, worse with his awful Corsi numbers).

CHI is the 3rd worst team in the league in SA% (no defender with SA% above 46.5%).

It's not like we could mention something utterly positive, given its stark contrast with history. I mean, the PK is 4th best in the league, and the player that leads the Pens in SHTOI is J____ J______. But anyone can kill penalties. Besides, JJ has a D-zone start% of <35% (!!!), and (wait for it!!!...) his SA% is just under 51%. The goalies must be propping him up or something, with their 13th best 5v5 SV%

Power plays go soft and then there’s what we’re seeing with Pitt right now. I believe our last PPG was like 12 games ago. We haven’t gotten a ton of opportunities but there have been enough

At this point, can splitting up the units be that much worse? According to Bob Grove we haven’t scored in 23 attempts

Also per Bob Grove, Rust was +4 last game

After reading some of his tweets I’m reminded of that sick scorpion save by MM last game

I’m really curious to see if Galchenyuk oversupports his linemates again. He’s so good when he’s got the puck but he needs to start hitting soft spots. If Sid or Jake lose the puck he can still take a good angle from there but I want to see this dude rip some damn pucks

Ryan: Why do you refuse to leam the difference between "compliment" and "complement". Sloppy writing.

Ollie mackerel, what happened to Maatta?

No matter who the player is, it is difficult to decide where one players effectiveness begins and the other player ends. Does Maatta help his partners or simply ride their coattails.

To me guys like that are tweeners, they are too good for the AHL but not good enough for the NHL. The thing is, in today's NHL (with a 32nd team in the near future) the tweeners are between middle pair and bottom pair.

I’ll stop the Simon hate as long as he’s not on the 1st line. I want to see how he does going up against the other teams top line now. Pens need a shutdown line.

Crosby is without a doubt the best professional athlete in the world. Best all around in every sense of the word.

Completely agree with that. His performance on the ice is one thing, but off the ice -beginning with interviews- he is just as world class.
