Best part of the Broadcast was pregame when Mickey begged Ken Daniels not to pick Mantha so he could pick him, then everyone was bustin' Trevor's balls for picking Fabbri in the "Light the Lamp" competition. Good TV right there!

Trev got a fantastic pick. I imagine the off air smack talk was insane!

Fabbri was a great pick-up for you guys, you guys are in good hands with Steve Y. As a Sabre fan, I must say a little jealous with the way Steve Y does it. We never seem to be able to get it right.

Yzerman’s combination of hockey sense, understanding the game as it changes, and understanding locker room dynamics/chemistry is Fascinating. He’s made several moves, but Fabbri is certainly the best so far. Erne is physical, but his upside hasn’t come through yet. Perlini is starting to find his legs. Oliwer Kaski is another interesting get with potential. Filppula has started to mesh with Athanasiou.

Not every move will be a home run, but the GMs willingness to tinker and alter are refreshing. He doesn’t get in front of the media a lot, but he is a tireless worker. It’s hard to imagine how many irons he has in the fire
