The first 11-12 games other coaches didn't have enoug video of Green's new system, now they do. It seems to be a very easy system to stifle. - manvanfan
What is the system exactly? Shoot da puck, score da goal! |

No....I saw the system used before and it's clear to me the players aren't playing the system now. Very clear.
Constantly out of position. No organized play now - SMBDragon
Green has switched back to his old system already. I wonder why |

Lately on offence rush the puck up the ice, shoot and miss chase back other direction.
On defence chase the other players to tired themselves out while they make room in the slot for a decent scoring opportunity for the opponent. |

The top drafted CHL player last year went 3rd overall and had 1.17 Pts/GP.
There are 14 CHL first time eligibles on that pace for 2020, and one is a defenseman.
Alexis Lafrenière has reached 59.9% of Kirby Dach's production in 27.4% of the games played.
delicious.

Tank for alexis/bayfield.
Edit; they will both end up in Ottawa, thanks to the Sharks pick. |

Did you not see the penalty call on Beagle last night?
Canucks will make the playoffs by a single point, get knocked out first round. TB drafting 16th and the 15th place team will win the draft lottery.

Only got to see about 5 minutes of the game, Jake, Bo and Tanev were the only noticeable Canucks, during that brief viewing. |

It is a nice draft, which is why I didn't like giving up that conditional 1st. Miller has been a very good pickup though.
Now if this team could get another good energy player to compliment Roussel, they will be a better team for it. |

Miller is great. Even IF the team is good enough to make the playoffs, I think the injuries will once again come into play and be the deciding factor/excuse.
The consolation will be a first in a strong draft year. |

I will wait to see how the rest of the season turns out. I mean for the better part of the season last year Dach was at 1.4 ppg but than had a little rough stretch.
Noel Gunler 2 weeks from the 19' draft is scoring at the same rate in the SHL as Hoglander did last season. Some have him as a top 15 pick but Hoglander wasn't taken before the Canucks grabbed him at 40th. |

Jets play a fast heavy game. Canucks did that once this season against STL. Bo and Brock and Leivo and Pearson are going to need to learn to use their size in games like that.
Virtanen has been playing well for a little stretch now. More consistent. |

Yup. You touched on it before, there's too many "skill" players on the team who don't want to go to the dirty area's, it's part of the fuking game. Rousell should help when he comes back and if he can stay healthy, but more players need to drink the Kool Aid. If not, outsource. Sorted. |

You are right, Roussel will lead them into battle a lot of nights. Ferland i'm sure helped to. Miller had 8 hits against STL.
It might take experience as well to learn to play the right way. |

I don't think we'll be able to count on Ferland too much, but with Roussel and maybe another piece along the way they'll figure it out at some point. Miller the new guy leading by example. I wish Bo had more of a nasty streak. |

The only real "skill" guys who are slighter who don't need to hit as much are Brock and Petey – even though Petey does. Everyone else in the lineup should be using their weight. Bo, Pearson, JV, Leivo are all bigger bodies who should play a bit heavier. |
