when I was younger - late teens thru mid-20s I didn't think much about my parents generation... they really didn't have anything to start with other than a work ethic or not... I accused the older boomers - I'm technically one of the youngest - for facking the economy and being completely self absorbed - which they were. 20% mtg interest rates in the early 80s, overpriced crap automobiles, insane important duties on foreign cars, and escalating house prices.... which was why I moved to Europe when I first got the opportunity.
when I returned to Canada a few years later - I realized how right I was - I didn't blame my parents generation, I blamed my older siblings who did spawn the single most entitled group of people to that point in time. I consciously use the word "spawn". In Canada the lasting legacy of the Older Boomers will be barely surviving Quebec separation, electing and allowing Mulroney to sell the country to the Yanks, erosion of the social support network - and a generation of over protected entitled weiners.
that spawn generation has given us institutionalized political correctness, overpriced and largely average coffee, beer that isn't really beer and just about nothing else.
that'swhy I live in the US,which is where I will remain until the next round of real estate pricing collapse in Canada - which will coincide with when the older boomers start aging out...

I think every generation brings a lot of good and a lot of bad.
It’s the way it is, each generation tried to learn what they are doing wrong and then start to complain about the next generation.
The world changes fast, and we need people to change with it. I always get a kick out of people complaining about past generations.
Yeah. Each generations have done some stupid (frank)ed up things but that’s life.

People would stop blaming past/future generations if we stopped thinking of ourselves as individuals, but as one living entity.
We’re a blob, all contributing our small slice to a larger pie. We’re spores.
What’s more amazing, is that we’ve developed to the point where we can jump to other planetary objects, and live on those worlds. If we’re the only life in the universe, that’s quite an astounding accomplishment. |

They’re settling into their game nicely.
I like how they’ve been winning, by taking few unnecessary risks, and capitalizing on them when they come. They’ve settled down with JT back.
This is a very good team.
Bold prediction: they win the Presidents Trophy. |

It’s scary how fast we are advancing.
I’m just happy we aren’t doing lobotomy’s on people because they like to sleep with the lights on. That was only 60 years ago...yeah the world was (frank)ed up
Every year it’s (frank)ed up in its own little way.
(frank) it Let’s go to mars. |

Back in the moon 🌙 landing days there were mass protests over the cost of it. Governments of course want to be re-elected more than anything so that stopped it in its tracks.
If the world billionaires would get off their wallets and contribute to space exploration we would already be on mars. It’s like climate change, the wealthy talk about it constantly but rarely offer up any cash to help find solutions. |

Meh, we don't need to go to Mars anywaya. It is a waste of money.
Let's fix the issues on this planet before anything. You know, the one we live on.
