I rarely do this, but Eichel played an unacceptable game. he didn't play hard and he didn't shoot. He just made goofy moves and passes all game, and he refused to shoot or drive to the net in the final minute. He always thinks he is going to make some perfect pass.

I agree he's playing hero ball out there because he knows his line has to get it done, because none of the others can. But soft? No.

Eichel tries too much cuz nobody else does...hes the only one trying to enter the zone with the puck yes he lose it sometimes but its (frank)ing better than dumping the puck and not be the first one on it cuz they are not fast

He pointless in 9 games this far I think, he needs to get his stuff together and get some consistency. No way he should be held off the score sheet like that. He needs to fix that now.

Every time he had a chance to shoot in the final 2 minutes, we had no one in front of the net. We're still an irritatingly soft team.

Soft doesn't mean he isn't putting out effort. He is. But he's playing a goofy perimeter game that just doesn't work. He is a PPG player, but usually that's streaks of dominance where he plays like a monster, and then streaks like this where he forgets that back passes and 1 on 5 moves don't work.

This season reeks of the recent past. No depth, no firepower. Vesey is useless, Sheary only shows up against the penguins, Mittelstadt hasn't done anything, the Lockport Connection has hands of stone AND THEY WERE SOMEHOW THE EXTRA ATTACKERS
