Interesting hockey. Sadly, not able to post my thoughts on our loss here in Pittsburgh last night. Save it for another day, and lets beat the Leaves, great first period. - kwolf68
Hi, Wolfie. I'm looking at it as a tie, with the Pens getting an extra gimmick point. |

Just whistling past the graveyard really... - HawkintheD
But don’t forget, Toews has become a overpaid liability , his best days are well behind him and as the captain of this team his leadership skills are non existent.

Toews is overpaid, he’s not a liability.
His best days were 2010-2015. So you can argue that they’re behind him here in 2019/20.
His leadership skills aren’t non existent, but at times they could be better. He does seem like a crybaby sometimes.
He doesn’t deserve to be benched, but he does need to play better as the season goes on.
I think that’s a fair assessment. |

It only took him a month to look like a good hockey player, did he just tie Shaw in penalty minutes?

Hawks not as good tonite at clearing the zone - getting skaters in position to get a clearing pass - as they were in the last two games. |

Officials having a tough one tonight. Keith batted the puck to himself, and they called a hand pass. |

Wasn’t just a tap in though...that shot went top cheese, and needed to. - Ogilthorpe2
That was a nice productive play with Caggiula. |

Toronto is really fast, and putting a lot of pressure on the forwards. Much faster than PIT. |

Strome, another slash.
I missed most of the second period ... how did we look? Score stayed the same, but how was the play? |

Both completely unnecessary.
Soft slashes, but that’s what they’re calling this season. |

It was an okay period, both teams had chances, good goaltending by both teams. PK was good there at end of period, PP was okay, no goals obviously. |

And weak slashes at that, if you’re going to get penalized at least make it sting. No need to injure, but make him feel it. |

Thank you.
Sage & bhawks, refs are looking closely at the player's hands & soft calls, yes, but hawks need to stop. I'm glad the pk is better, but always defending can kill momentum or worse. Refs are always going to call those now. |

Toronto gave a push, as expected, and Hawks played them toe to toe. Do I dare continue being optimistic? |
