Blackhawks through first 16 games last year gave up 60 goals
16 games this year, 49 goals, i think it's less because of 2 shoot out losses but none the less, not losing 6 or 7 to whatever. We've been in a lot of these games
Can't wait for Murphy to come back and really don't like Maata playing his off side - BetweenTheDots
I've also noticed fewer odd man rushes against the Hawks this year. It seemed like under Quenville there were about five 2 on 1s every period. |

Wow another loss jeez this was so unexpected. I mean Keith Seabrook and Gus looking lost and coughing up the puck numerous times last night . Then again Chicago had some grade A opportunities to shoot and they deferred to pass one extra time.
Or the PR campaign to deceive hawks fans from how God awful this team truly is.
The shootout was a joke toews looked dumbfounded.
The power play is God awful teams have Chicago figured out all they have to do is pressure or hold the blurline. Their is no quick bang bang passing or plays , players seem to be way overthinking .
I remember a lot of fans calling for toews to center saad and either kubalick or Nylander instead of Kampf, well we got that wish and not much has improved , toews has become a overpaid liability , his best days are well behind him and as the captain of this team his leadership skills are non existent.

I think the Hawks need to trade for another top 6 winger to pair up with Toews and Nylander. - gifman

Crawford is usually better than that. Maybe he caught Lehner's yips. lol
Also, DeBrincat in the SO reminds me of Sharp. They're both terrible. - tazer_and_diet

Lost the first one to Boston - but did come back to take the lead. - StLBravesFan
Oh. I just heard the guys on NHL Network talking about their previous 2 games coming back from 3 goal deficits, and thought they won both. Thanks. |

Here it's what's funny Stan bowman hiring a European leaguer head coach who hasn't improved this team, and the team continues to lose .
Also what's funny is hawks fans who have this fairy tale belief Chicago will make the playoffs if we just give them more time and more games to figure out the simplest things , shoot , skate , pass , defend .
What else is hilarious, some fans believing that a team that struggles to score 2 goals per game will somehow open the flood gates in scoring more goals , with a defense that is inept. |

I'd also include adding Lehner who has stood on his head is a huge reason Chicago's goals against aren't higher. Over 100 shots in 2 games against.
Crawford up until the game before last night he was giving up 3 to 4 goals a game when he started.

Good teams don’t lose those games.
Bubble teams do.
Hawks are a bubble team.
Hawks problem is - when they get up by two - they can’t get the third.
Only two games this season scoring more than 3 without using ENGs. - StLBravesFan
There's "bubble team" and there's "bottom feeder". After that atrocious (lack of) effort against SJ, and the fact the Hawks would have to jump 4 teams just to be the "first team out", I will consider them a bottom feeder until they can show otherwise.

It may seem like more because they score every other time they get one. The last full year of Qs tenure i believe they were 2nd in the league in giving up odd man chances, we were brutal

Nope...you...are still funny.
I don’t think anyone here is of a belief or feels confident the team is going to make the playoffs; but being a Hawk fan, I’ll root for the team and hope they make the playoffs.
See the difference?
If they make the playoffs, great. If they end up in line for another lottery pick...also great. |

wrong vs vegas
toews is in the top 3 for career shoot out in goals (those with more than 40 goals) 46 and at 48% right behind Oshie.
Pretty damn good.
yeah he biffed one last night...big deal...some do it helluva lot more then he does.. |

Huge sample size - 2.
Every player has miserable attempts like Toews had last nite - try to deke the goalie who reads it, gets back, and makes the shooter look incompetent. EVEN Kane and other stars.
But - an agenda is an agenda, I guess. |

Ok, the Bears have a winnable game. No Stafford. Let’s see what Biscuit can do today.
Comical. Listening to the Lions local wonks talking about how they’ve never addressed the backup position. At least when Stafford’s healthy they have a starter. |

That's what I saw. He tried to make a move and go 5-hole, Murray was there, so he held on to the puck for a half second longer hoping he could get to the post. Murray was already there, so he just shot it weakly into his right pad knowing there was nothing he could do. |
